My best friend's lovely father told her someone ordered a hamburger. His restaurant was closed 20 years ago when his wife died. Sad, so sad. He is a lovely man and was a good father and provider. She's taking good care of him though.
Before he died a day short of his 98th birthday, he was so senile that he could not recognize me unless I picked up some photo in his hospice room and explain who I was. Nevertheless, he never blatheringly rambled like our cuckoo president was doing in that video. Dad as badly senile as he was would softly speak a subject, a verb and a direct object that made sense. One of the last think I recall is Dad, a widower of many years, asking my brother Joe, "Who . . is that . . . pretty lady . . . on TV?"
I've just lost my best friend because he is not doing well physically or mentally and he doesn't want to see me because of this. I am so sad but he won't talk to me.
