Warp Speed May Be Possible But Requires Tremendous Amount of Energy

Excerpt:
"In a new study, physicist Erik Lentz from Göttingen University in Germany proposed a model for faster-than-light travel, thanks to what he calls a new class of hyper-fast solitons. They are a kind of wave that maintains its shape and energy and can move at a constant faster-than-light velocity.

According to Lentz’s model, these hyper-fast soliton solutions can exist within the framework of general relativity.

With a sufficient energy supply, these solitons can be configured as “warp bubbles” with faster-than-light speeds, thus theoretically enabling an object to travel through spacetime without suffering from extreme tidal forces.

The only problem with this solution is that it takes more energy than we have available right now."

Maybe we'll just stop reproducing after everyone gets the vaccine. (That was a plot in a Stargate SG1 episode.)

With all the UFO's reported, they probably already know. In my wild imaginings, I wonder if they aren't biding their time to take possession of Earth in the near future "To Serve Man".

Very true, FFF, it’s the corruption that becomes the root of future problems concerning financial expenditures. By cleanup I was, in my mind , referring to the goals of the corrupt govts. Our world is in turmoil today, I can’t imagine shipping our turmoils thru a wormhole to another part of the universe. Wondering what the more advanced cultures over there would say?

The same arguments were made against funding Columbus' voyage.
It's not those scientific expenditures that are the problem. They are investments in the future of homo sapiens.
Not so, the bailouts of bankers (who do nothing but drink lifes blood from the productive), the unending wars, the socialist destruction of free markets.
Both the 'clean up' you mention and the scientific research are affordable but not with all the corruption, wars, and loss of liberty.

Need more power? Don’t forget tons and tons of more money, also. All just to cross into a different universe when we can’t even clean up our own country.
