Faucci's Defense of Lying

You lied to us for your perception of the public good. We pay you for that? Really?

And how then should one interpret what you say in the future. I know what I will do, just what anyone should do with someone who lies, assume what you are saying is a lie, until one does their own analysis. Therefore, as a public servant, you are completely useless. Therefore, you should be fired.

This is an indefensible position for a government employee.

Good point. Yet another erosion of his excuse.

The entire event had one objective - To ensure Trump failed to get reelected, which was a surety until COVID.

Now the Orwellian Deep State and Made-up-Media are trying to figure out how to put dispel the fear they created and leveraged, without admitting the whole weather forecast was a hoax.

His reasoning for lying to us was bogus as well. He claimed that he lied to us so that "medical professionals would be able to get masks first."

Except, the only problem with this explanation is that hospitals and doctors ALREADY GET PRIORITY FOR MASKS, because they have corporate contracts with the manufacturers.

Think about it folks, when was the last time you saw a surgeon in scrubs at Home Depot?

Somebody told me a long time ago they never lie because they can't remember that much stuff. Took me a minute to grasp that, but definitely right.

This is correct. There's no real need to lie just for the "fun" of it, because if nothing else, you probably need to remember what the lie was :-) Fauci, though: no excuse for him.

I must have watched too many episodes of TV where the bad guy winds up being killed by the very bad thing he did

Perhaps I should have clarified that unethical assertion being limited to a responsibility in executing an obligation (contract, salary etc.).

Objectively speaking, it is illogical to choose to lie in general, since it will reduce your own credibility which has value to you. Lying in specific may be different, for example, explaining to a 2 yr old what happened to the fish or hamster.

Fauci simply says whatever he thinks will get him more media time and political power. He should be simply ignored.
