Faucci's Defense of Lying

You lied to us for your perception of the public good. We pay you for that? Really?

And how then should one interpret what you say in the future. I know what I will do, just what anyone should do with someone who lies, assume what you are saying is a lie, until one does their own analysis. Therefore, as a public servant, you are completely useless. Therefore, you should be fired.

This is an indefensible position for a government employee.

Hmm, there is a Fauci resemblance of Renfield in the original Dracula flick, which maybe I last watched during the Sixties on TV~~https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7C7p...
Not sure but I think I watched it two or three times on some late Saturday night horror movie show. Can't recall Elvira ever showing this during the Eighties.
For the second time since the Seventies I read Bram Stoker's novel, Dracula, just last year. Love how Stoker strung pages from diaries, letters and a doomed ship's log together to make a novel-length story.

Actually, I was confounding this topic with the other one where we were talking about "what do you say when people ask if you are vaxxed?" So, my "disagreement" stems from that topic, not this one. I need to get back to work :-)

Gonna have to disagree with you on that Thoritsu. When someone asks me something that is literally none of their business, I have no obligation to tell them anything, true or not. And if I do choose to tell them something, it can bear as much relation to the truth as their "requirement" for me to answer bears to reality.

However, in Fauxi's case, he was speaking to an audience who rightfully expected the truth out of him, as that is what he was paid (quite handsomely) to do....tell the truth.

In any case, if you consider me ethically inappropriate, I guess that's okay. That makes two areas we disagree on, and yet....I still like you! People can have differences and still be of good will.

Lying is ethically inappropriate. Being wrong is human, and forgivable. It is better to be wrong.

It is best to know the difference between what you know and what you don't know, and not to push when you "don't know".

Falsi is a graduate of MSU (Make Shit Up). He has a MS degree (Master Spinner) and a PhD (Pile High & Deep). Who can believe this idiot? But then he is from the government and here to help. Right.

There might be noble lies. I'd like the Government to come out and assert that to the public.

No doubt you are correct about his motivations. Unfortunately, like "hate crimes", motivations should be wholly irrelevant to the crime.

The only "defense" for lying is offering an apology and not doing it again.
Doktor Faucila more than often lies with creepy smile as would a mad scientist in a horror B-movie.
All he lacks is a Transylvanian accent.

There is no such thing as an expert or honest public servant...we were reminded of this in 2020...now it's on display in a big way.

Government is a Lair of liars!

I've been screaming this from the virtual rooftops every since the words came out of his mouth. I knew he was lying at that very moment, and I knew why. Of course, if he HAD told people to wear them, back then, he would be simply wrong. Is it worse to lie, or to be wrong, or to lie AND be wrong?

When people ask my what I think of Fauci, I tell them straight up that he is an outright liar and I can show three separate times he has openly lied. The first is his flip-flop on masks. His own CDC studies show that they don't work (his initial position) but he is now an advocate for double-masking?

The second was his first grilling by Rand Paul in August of last year where Paul cited all the evidence from Europe that schools were safe to open. Fauci agreed with Paul in that hearing, yet only days later appeared on the morning shows to advocate against opening up schools. (I add that Paul's second grilling only recently was just as impressive as Paul pushed Fauci to show ANY data supporting his position - and couldn't.)

Third was his disavowal of hydroxychloroquine despite a 2005 study which showed that HCL was both safe and effective - even when taken preventatively - against SARS-based virii. Can't get more specific. What was even more telling about this lie was that only days after Biden's inauguration, the CDC reversed case, said they were wrong about HCL and re-instated it.

I've mentioned this here before; if Fauci told me the sun rises in the east, I'd go out tomorrow morning and look to the west for a sunrise.

Well, he could probably make it as a celebrity if he resigned himself to the role of tiny man, like the bald guy on Benny Hill or Marty Feldman.
