GM spokesperson Kristin Zimmerman admits 95% of “clean” energy to charge electric cars comes from COAL

In the video clip, the arrogance of these self -righteous, do-good, environmental waco types is appalling. She doesn’t even care what produces the electrical power required to charge the damn car. All she cares about is promoting ‘Green’ when it is nowhere close to being even slightly green. Just wait until the rolling blackouts hit her home ... she will be the first to melt down and blame the coal companies. Pompous worthless parasite. Go get a real job...

John Galt is the only one I know of that can get electricity out of thin air. The other sources not so much. What most of the Green Idiots don't realize that the ROI for solar panels is years upon years, the same with wind turbines. And yes, when the rolling black outs occur they will obviously blame Trump.

There is very serious talk and movement afoot to remove the four Lower Snake River Dams (Hydro) here in the Pacific Northwest. Why? For the Fish... the real reason ... and I just got this news from my local REA (Rural Electric Assoc) public affairs liaison .... $10 Billion dollars of funding is going to cover the costs of replacing the dams with Wind Turbines (or some combination of wind, solar, batteries). It would be preaching to the choir here in the Gulch to lay out all the evidence (reality) that wind turbines are a sham -- The CO2 generated in the creating of the concrete used in the footings for the towers (2500 tons per turbine) is never seen by the Green / Environmentalists -- but the quantity is enormous. The amount of land taken up by wind farms is far greater in terms of MW produced per acreage compared to nuclear and gas plants. And of all the Green Power -- Hydro is the greenest, cheapest, most reliable. It is insanity to think that they will actually destroy the hydro dams -- but $10 Billion in fiat currency buys a lot of government gravy train grifters.

Energy in and of itself is dirty no matter what form we produce it with. I don't care if it is wind, solar, hydro or fossil fuels it all has its own drawbacks and every one of them takes the others to produce the end product.

Guys, we need to stop using over zealously wrong data. It does nothing but detract from our credibility and therefore positions supporting personal freedom.

Coal is only about 11% of the US electric power source. There is absolutely no possible way, coal is the source for 95% of electric vehicle charging.

EVs are more efficient than ICE vehicles, end-to-end. Range anxiety is typically over played. EVs are more expensive. EVs should not be subsidized. They should penetrate the market based on customer desire. However, EVs are not charged with 95% coal fueled sources.

This is precisely the false narrative that gets us painted with the Qanon-crazy brush.

Thanks for your thoughts. I had a similar reaction to the "97% of scientists consensus" on climate change several years ago. The number is hugely absurd -- so I did my own research and it took very little time to discover that the value is a fabrication.

Here in Arizona we have a mix of nuclear, natural gas and solar. supposedly the coal fired Navajo Generating Station was shut down in 2019 it's still on the AZ Electric Generation Map. That probably why I see many new Tesla's coming here into Sedona many with Az plates. probably from the south of the state on the weekends and holidays. Many of other states don't have the same energy production mix. the Green New Deal uneducated illiterates should tour their own states. Because if they try to pass their a GND legislation not only will their own states but will have rolling blackouts but also across the US. But it gets better defunded police working in the dark wit no tech, military using the own diesel gen sets, nation wide trucking will be able to operate during the day, huge food spoilage due to lack of refrigeration, no water to any homes any where, crop failures (no water) and all meat, dairy animal and poultry die off. Dark Ages for the US.

Why not Natural Gas?...Oh, that's right, it's just another fossil fuel brought about by fracking.

If they only knew that oil is a RENEWABLE resource!
