I think secession might be a way to start geographically/politically realigning the fractured country. If NP gets her way with the Jan.6th Witch Hunt through congress this country will be torn apart. The Dems will be going after 70million plus Americans who were and still are Trump supporters, to treat them the same way the Chinese government is doing to the Uihurs.

Yeah, Bend and that area - beautiful. I don't mind the weather in the NW. But, it's not for everybody.

And I would like to see at least Northern Nevada join this effort and everyone just take it all the way to secession.

For 30 years I have advocated that Nevada trade Clark County to California in exchange for the Northern Cal Counties that obviously want out. Timber, water, and seaports would be added to Great Basin geothermal, solar, and all the huge production of gold and silver in Elko, Lander, and Humboldt Counties. Add all that to the huge amounts of cattle food production throughout Northern Nevada, Eastern Oregon and Idaho. All the agriculture of southern Idaho. Reopen the Carson City mint and from our own production issue our own gold coinage (with the dollar sign on the back), and silver coinage.

Problem now is that since then, Carson City and Reno have gone Californo collectivist libtard and the Nevada State government has gone down the tubes because of it. So just the Northern Counties now. Go North thou tired taxed and abused peoples. No petitions, appeals, just cite the List of Grievances and do it.

A pleasant daydream? Sigh. Perhaps. It is that cost of rebellion versus the cost of compliance thing.

Make sure Eastern Washington gets an opportunity to join in the new State. Some are still pushing the idea of the State of Republic", comprised of counties from CA, OR, WA, and ID. Even Spokane is starting to get tainted with liberalism, something similar about the biggest cities in this country, they seem to go under.

Oddly enough, most of the people I meet here on the East side of Bend lean Conservative. A few are young people in their '20s. Small, like-minded groups are forming here. I encourage people to plant seeds of reason wherever they go.

We are trying to get the signatures to put it to a vote. And we do not want to go by Counties as northen Deschutes County has been taken over by liberals. So sad to watch Bend go to the dark side.

Liberals don't care that nobody likes them or their policies. As a matter of fact, the more people dislike them, the more they love shoving their ideas down our throats. It's a power trip for them. Now that they can steal any election they want, expect much more of this behavior in the future.

There have been more than a few counties in Idaho which would welcome them. The land and people in Eastern Oregon are way more like Idaho than Oregon anyway. The Blues make a decent physical barrier and Hells Canyon an effective second one.

I spent 6 months working in downtown Portland in the 80's. You can have it and the horrible climate. Beautiful? Maybe to a duck or to mold. There are many, many beautiful places with much better climates, both natural and political. Ditto for Seattle.
I have heard that the eastern part of Oregon is much more pleasant, and similar to Idaho. I spent a couple summer months in Boise (also in the 80's) and it was delightful (especially coming from Houston.) I do not think I'd like to winter in Boise though.

Oregon is such a very beautiful place - it really is. It is a prime example of how the far-left grabs the nicest places first and destroys them by bringing in ideology that doesn't work, random violence, feces on the streets, etc. Years back many of my buddies would jump on a Southwest flight from around here and head up for fun beer weekends in Portland. Not anymore.

For what it's worthy there's long-running, similar interest with the State of Jefferson in northern California. It's a great idea. You see the stickers on cars all around here. But, it will never be allowed.

Lots of propaganda must be reversed including the media themselves, and the deep state participants who benefit from our serfdom..

Yes, FFA…I have the same dream but since I live in Georgia, one of the original 13, I doubt that I shall ever see it come to fruition in my lifetime

More like a mote, but it might get more people thinking - which is why the deep state is likely to bribe or threaten people to derail it.
Secession is what I dream of.

Good points. American governments have a habit of ignoring what people want in the past 160 years. It would be nice to see that change.

Yes but... several times Congress has allowed this to happen. Maine, W. Virginia, Kentucky, and it seems one other state. So precedent has been set. And all 5 counties in Oregon voted affirmatively. This would give Idaho port access.

They must get approval from the wackos in the Oregon state legislature and from the US con-gress and OR and ID have to agree on a new state line. Long process to go, but at least they had the guts to do it.
