Can you imagine! The 'Blackhorse Cavalry' dismounted at Ft. David Russell and we chased Pancho Villa back to Mexico from there. It's only 35 beautiful mountain miles from the Border.
Romel's Afrika Corps officers were interned there in WW2. POWS. They left beautiful murals on our walls which we have restored.

I sit on the Board of an organization that encourages artists over 35 at Bldg 98 in Marfa, Tx. We are having an art exhibit in May. We have the 'Georgie Patton' room at the old Fort David Russell. Been getting a lot of tourist trade. Look us up on the internet.

I found an RV I want. Weighs 3800 lbs and will follow my Ford SUV like it's not even there. Me and my friend, Fred, (4 legged) are going to waltz across Texas in May. I can stay at the Army facilities for $10/night and meet nice folks. I did that with my friend who died in 2010 and I am looking forward to doing it again.N
