Avoiding Vaccine Conversations?

What is your favorite response to avoid answering about your vaccine status? I do not intend to receive the COVID-19 “vaccine,” for a variety of reasons. In a time of vaccine passports, and when I am asked about my vax status by colleagues and acquaintances on a routine basis (so far only in passing casual conversation), I would like to come up with a few responses. Preferably responses that avoid the issue, avoid publicity and controversy, avoid unnecessarily straining relationships.

I doubt our USA Government will mandate vaccination, but other countries might, and private property owners (e.g., businesses) might. That will be a deal-breaker for me. In the meantime, just for avoiding vaccine conflict in casual conversation (even direct interrogation), what are your favorite retorts?

I may use that one eventually. Especially if talking with a stranger (e.g., at a grocery store), or a “friend” I don’t care about. At work, though, this is an increasingly common topic of conversation, and it is helpful to me that I retain smooth working relationships. So I’m looking for a more palatable reply.

After deciding to remove face masks: “Sure, we’ve all been vaccinated, right?”

Me: “Close enough, haha.” Or: “Yes.”

Whether or not this is a lie hinges on the definition of ‘vaccine.’ I would argue that the Big Pharma vaxxes do not meet the definition of a vaccine. I would argue that UVB from the sun to maintain high VitD levels is closer to a true vaccine. Even aside from semantics, I would also argue that it is proper to lie to tyrants intent on violating my rights, if the risk/benefit analysis meets my self-interest.

If my boss presses me for an answer: “This is a private issue between me and my doctor, involving sensitive health issues I don’t want to discuss right now.”

If pressed for an answer: “Given the politicized nature of this subject, I make it a policy to not discuss it.”

I just sternly say “nope” and walk away... and that usually flabbergasts the sheep.

I am tired of pussy-footing around these leftists, I no longer care whose feelings I trample on.

"Yes. My first shot was called Woodford. The second one was called Maker's Mark. Didn't hurt a bit. Stay safe out there!"

In face-to-face conversation when people tell me they were vaccinated I just say, "Great! I hope it works for you." I don't say anything else. In California if you have school kids this is a 30-ton wrecking ball that's going to make impact this summer when they mandated this for school. You will probably hear of approval of one or more of the vaccines for children this week (you heard it here first). Let's just say I've been in the loop...Man, I wish I could elaborate...

Californians with school kids are pouring out of the state...all in a mad dash. I found out the reason I can't get a contractor for some remodel work is because people are hiring them up to fix up their homes to sell. I have a few places in the State and am listing the first one now. Can't dump it soon enough...

Colleague: “Have you been vaccinated yet?”

Me: [Nodding my head yes] “I’m working on that in consultation with my medical doctor.”
