    Private industry can limit first amendment, if people let them. Would be interesting if she filed a suit asserting discrimination. If she was publicly arguing for LBGTxyz, she'd rape Disney for millions.
    Wonder if Marvel will censure her too.

      While posting this satire yesterday, me dino did wonder if Carano would opt top sue Disney.
      Hope she does. IMO, that so-called "cancel culture" needs to be cancelled and taking legal action appears to be the only way to do it.

      As a matter of fact, Gina found another gig, with Ben Shapiro's Daily Wire site. She will produce and star in a film of her own, that will be exclusive to Daily Wire All Access and Insider members. Said she: "They can't cancel us if we don't let them."

        Yes, me dino previously read about that and this new twist appeared in my email today. Learned there's a petition being passed around by fans who want Disney to hire her back.
        There's also a liberal writer comparing Carano's firing to Hollywood once upon a time (before now kissing up to the CCP) persecuting Communists.

          I've heard from other YouTube "influencers" that Star Wars fans want Gina back. They loved the character and her interpretation of it. But the fact remains that this is not all that's wrong with The Mandalorian. Even the title actor is moving on; he seems to have found another gig that will pay him more. Now you mightn't think that would make much difference; after all, the title character never takes off his helmet, so maybe I could substitute for him and do at least as good a job, and not one fan would be any the wiser. But that's not all. That show is FUBAR Baker Easy for a bunch of reasons.

          Of course, what that lefty writer missed was that Communists can dish out persecution but can't take it.

          Case in point: Viktor I. Belenko (the Soviet pilot who bugged out with his aircraft in 1976) told the story of being stuck on base because a cholera epidemic was ravaging the nearby town. It gave him time to brood, especially when the base zampolit ("political officer") talked about the terrible persecution of the CPUSA, boo-foxtrot-hoo, begging the question of why we even allow a party having that name even to operate. And dwelt on the case of Angela Davis, begging the question of why our "Dark Forces" let Communists teach in their universities.

    This Babylon Bee is regarded as a satirical site for some reason.
    All they do is report the story straight, the usual euphemisms are replaced by what is said too quietly to be heard.

      Funny. Do believe I read or heard that decades ago.
      Also very foggy is a movie I saw about Isadore for 25 cents at the Cherry Point Marine Base in North Carolina during 1970 or 1971. Unforgettable was the true story way it ended. Isadore gets her long trailing scarf about her neck snagged by the rear wheel of a convertible she's in.
      At least it was a very quick death by Darwin.

    Disney is ruining the Star Wars franchise and doing the same to Marvel super heroes. Their "Wokeness" is horrifying. I just wonder what their going to do to Dr. Strange the only superhero I liked of all the Marvel characters. I wonder how many actors are going to stand for this kind of autocratic manipulation?

      Me old dino got hooked by Marvel Comics during the early Sixties. Shortly before the end of the Sixties, all those comic books had been thrown away with no idea what having the first issue of Spiderman, The Hulk, Dr. Strange, the X-men, Iron Man, Thor, Sgt. Fury And His Howling Commandos and others may some day be worth.
      As for Marvel super hero movies, despite all the great digital special effects I find them highly forgettable. I see one I've already rented on TV and I can't even recall the ending. Quit renting them two or three years ago. Same goes for Superman DC superheroes with the exception of Wonder Woman. Actually bought that DVD.

        I still collect comic books usually first issues plus independents like Image & others. Since I'm still into Chinese Martial Arts I collect old series of Iron Marshall by Jademan Comics that was published in Hong Kong.

      Yesterday me dino was in a CVS buying wrapping paper for a birthday present I'm mailing to a grandniece in Tallahassee.
      Force of habit I on first sight reached for wrapping paper speckled with Disney heroine characters.
      Then I remembered the Fox News takeover by the Disney-related father and son Murdochs, the PC propaganda that's now on the Disney channel and what happened to Gina Carano.
      So the wrapping paper I bought has all these assorted pretty cupcake illustrations on it.

    Pissed off? Think you can t do anything about the situation? Heres a thought - stop doing business with ALL these companies, then post on their social media pages that you are and encourage others on the pages to do the same. Post it every week.
