A 12K year cycle that takes out all the infrastructures of civilization and a large percentage of life...think Noah's flood. We will experience large tidal waves over much of the land masses under a mile high but not a global flood.
The dangers for survival will be earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, fire, not to mention loss of all conveniences...transportation, electricity etc.

We are descendants of survivors but what Ben is getting at is that we will probably loose our electric and electronic infrastructures probably way before that happens...we won't know when it's coming.

Looks like we will experience the latter first, then the magnetic pole reversal and sometime soon afterward...the Solar Micronova literally burying our civilization and plunging us into a deep ice age afterward.

It's happened 6 times in the past 72K years that we can confirm and we are very close to it happening again soon. Ben is scientifically speculating on what will happen when...how soon and what to look for.
