Are "Woke" Companies Practicing De Facto "Segregation"?

Excerpt:
"What are the implications of this? If “woke” banks won’t do business with us, then people like me—political conservatives, mainstream Republicans—will have to have our own banks. If “woke” companies won’t sell to us, we’ll have to have our own merchandizing sector. If “woke” digital platforms won’t carry our views, we’ll have to make our own, and if—as in the case of Parler—there is a coordinated strike to take them down, we’ll have to restore our networks in a manner completely secure from such dangers.

This past weekend, my wife and I watched the movie “The Green Book.” In it, we saw a white and black man driving through the segregated South, where blacks basically lived in their own world—their own banks, restaurants, barbershops, and public lavatories and water fountains—and all because the whites flatly refused to do business with them.

It struck Debbie and me with the force of epiphany that this is where we seem to be heading. De facto segregation, not de jure segregation. And segregation not based on race but based on political viewpoint. It might seem overdramatic to say that Republicans and conservatives are the new blacks, but Republicans and conservatives are now treated in “woke” America with the same derision, contempt, and second-class citizenship that blacks were in the first part of the previous century."

Be prepared for lawsuits.
Then be prepared for corrupt courts to refuse to even hear the cases.

Wokism is merely the next step toward fracturing American society. Political correctness was the start, a process developed by the Communist party to bring down Western societies by creating fracture lines between interest groups.

Playing to tribalism is a very effective tactic when seeking to create dissent in an otherwise unified populace. The US is particularly vulnerable, because we have the most diverse population on the planet, made up of immigrants seeking relief from mistreatment in their originating countries. Once that population of immigrants have their basic needs met, the motivation to tolerate others in our combined society who think, look, and act differently is reduced. The result is that it becomes easy to convince segments of society that it's the fault of those "others" that their lot isn't even better.

The new racism isn't based on the desperate lives of the wretchedly downcast, but of jealousy and greed. The very idea that a wealthy person (of any color) actually earned their position in life through toil and tribulation is not to be spoken, and the idea that those people's wealth should be redistributed is a given premise.

What's most distorted about the new racism is that the perpetrators openly practice it while claiming outright they are not racist. The rationale is that only persons of a particular skin color can be racist, and whether or not a person of that skin color has ever actually carried out racist practices is immaterial, because they are helpless to resist their genetic predisposition to be racist. It's an accepted given that persons of the racist skin color must be punished for the sins, past (slavery) and present (institutional racism) of others of their color.

Yes, that's really the whole point of "wokism." Its proponents intend that no one who disagrees with them will be allowed a place to work, shop, live, or even eat. This is why I liken the movement to the Chinese Cultural Revolution: it's what happened there.

The next thing I expect to see is discrimination laws altered so that political views are a protected characteristic -- but it's enforced in only one direction.

War isn't inevitable. But I think it's inevitable that we will need one.

One interesting side-effect of all this "wokeness" is that businesses are quickly becoming polarized in who they are willing to do business with. Now it isn't enough that you have cash-in-hand, your political ideology also has to be out in the open. It is happening in restaurants as well - and on both sides. Pretty soon, its going to deteriorate into cities openly declaring themselves for one party or the other and forcing others to leave.

Time for a few good natural disasters to wake people up to the dangers we face before its too late and this nation's ideological differences escalate into something deadly serious.

Thanks for the link, FFA. Very good article. It's articles like this convinced me to subscribe to The Epoch Times.

I couldn't remember what he did that caused Trump to issue a pardon; the very first hit from a Google search (yeah, I know) was Wikipedia (again, yeah, I know).

But I had to laugh at the way Wikipedia describes him in their first paragraph: "...an Indian-American right-wing political commentator, provocateur, author, filmmaker, and conspiracy theorist...".

In my checkered past, I worked as a trainer of young employees. I had a lovely black girl (actually I had quite a few black employees to train). I finally asked her what she wanted out of life. Her answer, "I want a white woman to draw my bath water!" I suggested she lacked ambition. She and I both laughed and she said she was kidding but I don't think so.

While the 'right' to use violence to make all equal is always sold as fairness (equal and fair are diametrically opposite) the only way to make everyone equal is to make them equally destitute and destroyed. It is impossible to make all equally successful, brilliant or capable.

It's really irritating how the left is using the term: racism/racist as as an obtuse social construct. The congressional Dems are a bunch of spoiled frighten children yelling out those word to make everyone angry at each other but frighten of the grown-ups with firearms.
