America is not just a place. It is an idea. It's important to celebrate, with ritual, the importance of this idea.-Dennis Prager

But I thought the whole point of Labor Day was the ability to celebrate the idea of work as an antidote to the dole!

Oh how I wish I were kidding...

For the greater good of all of humanity, I wish you (not individually, but as part of the larger whole) a joyous socialist weekend too. :D

    "Tovarichi!

It is with great glorious honor that we, the politburo and Secretariat of the USSA shall to wish a glorious and Victorious People's Day of Labor. In celebration, all glorious and right-thinking comrades in arms shall be given an etra 2ยข per hour for their labor performed on this day, taken from hand of evil boirgoise and put in hands of the workers of the world. We stand arm in arm with our comrades of the Middle East, the Far East, and Cuba, to bring the non-aligned middle and upper class under the jackboot of socialist paradise. Hail O."

This message brought to you by executive order, and is mandatory reading at all forced labor factories, camps, and facilities.

    Have nice day, Comrade!

The other thing I don't understand is that the African American demographic still supports the Democrats and more specifically this unfettered immigration. These central Americans all work a hell of a lot harder than the average African american. They are not only taking their jobs but the law of supply and demand causes the wages at the low end of the labor market to be depreased. They as a demographic group are being screwed over by the democrats but just like in the movie Animal house their leadership seem to be saying "please sir may I have another" every time they are hit with the paddle!

What I do not understand is how, given the Dem's stand on immigration, Labor can continue to support a party the is actively cutting their legs from under them by offering amnesty to millions of low skill, low wage workers.

I told my students in one class that doesn't meet on Monday that I detest Labor Day because I am always working hard on that day. Several of them laughed. Did you notice that the Texas Nationalist Movement has a big event planned for Atlas Shrugged Day (9/2)?

I have called Labor Day the Communist holiday for years! Love to hear someone else who gets that. And a Happy Socialist Weekend to all of you as well!
