Good grief. All these woke companies are doing it for marketing and nothing else. This companies effort is minuscule compared to the 22 trillion the Federal Government has spent of LBJ's Great Society and War On Poverty. What the hell do they think they will accomplish? Nothing but posturing. I have cancelled my membership to Sam's Club (their support of BLM) and stopped buying anything from those companies that discontinued My Pillow. If enough of us do this we may get our point across to these anal orifices.

There is some strange desire to erase history, for sure. But there's more to this than just that. It got me thinking...which is always dangerous. If we really want to attack racism wouldn't we attack racists instead of doing this? We call a bottle of delicious maple syrup racist and change it...instead of targeting legitimate racists. Now...being racist isn't illegal (yet) but I'm talking about those who break our existing laws. (We don't need any more laws, either).

Just the other day I was in a high-level meeting where a lady running the meeting said that the next person employed would have to be a "non-white female". (For reference, this was in California). I found that statement offensive. Why not just hire somebody who can be very effective?

I'm probably not making sense. In short...none of these steps like this one will help inclusion or tolerance. The best way to fight racial injustice and prejudice is to do what I've done - raise children to only judge a person by the content of their character vs. the color of their skin. I picked up my son from a local park the other day where some kids were using the "N" word like it was ok. My son said, "I've never said that word. Ever." At ten years old he asked me, "Dad, what's a 'black' person?" He didn't know, even though his collection of friends cover the full spectrum. All this pointing at statues and stomping on their heads when they're pulled down, pointing at maple syrup and such...this isn't going to get done what they say they want done. I will say I'm not opposed to renaming some pro sports teams. So be it... And, to be clear...I'm not opposed to this name change. I just don't think it will accomplish anything.

Already have crossed off From my list this new pearl mills syrup, along with the repackaging of land o lakes butter(sans the Indian maiden), and others... guess I will be enjoying home made sourdough pancakes with real maple syrup and locally produced butter ... while, hopefully, these b&$7&7@$ go belly up ...
