The reference I make to Dr. Angelo Codevilla is from his landmark piece: "America’s Ruling Class — And the Perils of Revolution"

Sometimes I believe they would not be moved if you could pull your pounding heart from your chest and place it on the table in front of them.

Well said and on the mark. I encounter the same thing when confronting the local school board. Nothing is harder than to sound calm, speaking clearly about things close to you, all the while your heart feels like it's pounding through your chest.

I am not a relaxed public speaker. I have gathered fortitude and stood before our township council and spoken out many times only to have my words fall upon deaf ears. They allow you to speak only to demonstrate the pretense of consideration. Then they go about passing whatever measures they wish since the outcome was predetermined and allowing citizens to speak is only theater to placate them. It is at the grass roots where the petty dictators receive training. The left learned this long ago and have been shrewd in their implementation. Our voices have been too few.

That has to me as well, been a very obvious stance. I don't understand how it isn't to so many others. Then again, most go through life with blinders on. Just blindly following the ass in front of them.

You're correct. He won't be nervous, just focused and ready for the fight ahead. He's good like that :-)

He won't be nervous. He has to prepare for battle.
Just as Euda did, there must be a record. Conn is not the only state moving in this direction. This is the way to influence and fortify other US citizens in the philosophical fight. After all, isn't it ironic that the fight of the those who believe in the 2nd amend. are trying to influence with reason and the govt will influence by force.

It's so hard to have the courage to face down evil. I'm not trumpeting my own...I also have a hard time having courage. But when you know what you're up against and you know the outcome of what they want, it's hard not to stand up and confront them. I'm thinking should your husband join us in the Gulch, his handle should be 'Uncommon Courage".

As long as I am able to be there, yes. I need to find out what time he's slated to speak. He was a little bit uncomfortable when I said I'd like to attend. I think he wants to be utterly focused, and he may feel less so if I'm there. Not sure.

What do you think? My husband is preparing for an all out assault on the company, what their position is in all of this, etc. He is going to be a lightning rod for the manufacturer he works for. The agenda is set. I do not envy him. I do however admire him greatly.

I believe that last night was the last time that the "Gun Safety Working Group" was taking testimony from the public.
But the are about four different "working groups".
