I'm not going to reject reforms because of a few criminals.
Antifa and the theory that Soros funds every idea you don't like are laughable. If Antifa were real, they would have asked me for money by now. Regarding Soros, there are many more of us who believe in open societies but have three fewer zeros in our networths. I don't get the obsession with Soros. I don't know the numbers, but I suspect single-digit millionaires contribute more to open-society and liberty causes than single-digit billionaires.

I particularly impressed when mobs kicked and pummeled people in the streets. And burning businesses and buildings helped the image also. Nice to join Soris and Antifa and Bank of America in supporting such a worthwhile cause.

BoA gave $1B?. Their supporting BLM improves their brand image in my mind. My only connection with them is one org whose board I serve on banks with them. I generally like local banks, but I'm glad to hear BoA is supporting BLM.

"Complete liberty is living on an island. "
I think of what you're talking about is freedom. Liberty, as I understand the word, is what you get when some freedoms are curtailed. You can't scream over speech you don't like in a harassing way to suppress it. A commitment to the idea of liberty means we give up that freedom.

I have already begun to boycott many of these companies, esp. the BLM supporters, who mean to destroy the black families. Amazon had already begun making it harder to find books you want, as the censor. They may notice that conservatives read mroe than liberals, who only talk with little research of their own. Microsoft, not big deal ,Gates already destroyed a formerly medicore OS, and now he is into vaccines. Avoid both.

Complete liberty? No one in any society of more than one person has complete liberty. Not even dictators and monarchs have complete liberty, but they have a great deal more than the people they force to obey them.

I worry about this fixation with liberty. Your republic would not exist without a certain amount of commitment from the population to an ideal. Complete liberty is living on an island. At this point I should point out that I am not American. In The Fountainhead Ms Rand talks about the needs of the worker or common man and how Roark strives to make their lot better. I felt she was making the point that he should not be forced and be financially rewarded. We need a strong America and three hundred million individuals is not very strong. Cheers

Yes, it has been true for decades. The GOP finally lost all enthusiasm for resisting socialism and corporatism in 1964. (Of course, the GOP was in bed with banking and the MIC for 50 years before that.) The 2 parties are betrayers of the People and deserve the punishment for treason.

"...few if any of those in the con-gress actually represent the People they claim to represent." Funny you should post this now because 10 minutes ago I saw this quote attributed to Robin Williams: "Politicians should wear sponsor jackets like NASCAR drivers so we all know who owns them".

Another view could be that Trump used the GOP and some of the wealthy GOP supporters to build a new party from within. Clearly, the GOP didn't want Trump and few if any of those in the con-gress actually represent the People they claim to represent. The question remains if the People who support Trump will be steadfast in the pursuit of liberty and leave both parties to wither and die.

Amazon lost lots of money for well over a decade. Most companies would have failed but they were favored for some reason.

Delta kicked people off a plane for having a private conversation about supporting Trump.

Trump and his supporters are the very people you complain about who took your jobs and liberties raped your countries commonwealth for themselves and know you believe that he and the GOP will make things right. It looks to me that you are being massively used again to maintain the status quo

Agree! Companies officers are spending shareholders' money supporting politicians who enhance those officers' paychecks. Ike called it the 'military-industrial complex' but it has grown to include just about every company.

yes. we dont buy from american companies that simply buy from china. we cant buy products made in usa, because we would be financially out of business. china products cost 1/3 of what american made products sell for.

The big (anti) American companies are buying from China, too. At least not buying from the anti-American companies will punish them for their treason.

Agreed. It is the process they've built for THEMSELVES that ensures the corruption.

Imagine we VOTE for THEM, and THEY get real $$$ from donors/lobbyists. Ever wonder how much money the RNC/DNC are collecting EVERY MONTH? To what end? To give GLOBALISTS the final say. To support and pay for the deep state, to make sure THEIR future cannot be taken away from them for their bad actions.

Kinda funny... I wonder what our founding fathers would say if they were brought here today...

If anyone doesn't recognize Amazon as one of the most powerful forces in the world, they have there head buried in the ground. They did not get there by accident, I detest their top management but they have their marketing down. But no one is making a serious run to compete with them. All the buy local is great, but that really misses the point. These guys do more business than most countries.

Add to that the 99% public schools with communist curriculum to brainwash the young against individual liberty.

Fortune 500 companies pledged to BLM:
    B of A $1 B
    PepsiCo $400 M
    Walmart $100 M
    Apple $100 M
    Comcast $100 M
BLM is a front for Soros and the deep state also a lap dog for Nancy Pelosi and the gang.
