I agree about war, war, war and my heart goes out to you for your family losses. Although I've had many family and ancestors fight America's wars they all came home save one in the Civil War, who signed up when it started and was killed 24 days before it officially ended.

You are so right! I am the last person to recommend a 'shooting war'. I think actually I am a pacifist. All my life there has been war, war, war. I have sacrificed a beloved brother in law and my husband and I don't have any wish to lose a grandchild.

Patrick Henry ...one of my favorites. Probably will find no one in schools today who are familiar with him or this quote. I am sure somewhere he will become racist and banned from memory.

IMHO, at this point I'm trying to hold the notion (or false hope as the case may be) that our system isn't so totally broken that fraud and corruption can still be addressed with a minimum of actual warlike violence, which can be dealt with as it pops up. An extensive shooting war would be extremely messy with no solid geographical boundaries separating the opponents. For example even the reddest states have blue counties and the bluest states have red counties with a lot of blurred lines of location and inhabitants. A hot war now will be a lot different than the 1860s. The infrastructure holding up our civilization is like stone or concrete for now, but start a hot civil war and it will be like sand in no time at all supporting not much and 19th or 18th century living will become the norm for a long time.

It took courage for P.H. to say those words in Congress even before the war started, which would be about two weeks later.

I believe we are so numbed by lies and criminal actions, we don't respond as we should. We should be seriously offended that the Bidens crawled into bed with the Chinese Communists!

Are we approaching these times? Voter fraud. FBI, CIA, etc who will not take action when they know serious crimes are being committed. What does it take to energize these people to action?

I actually like Winston Churchill. 'If you will not fight when you can easily win without blood shed, if you will not fight when your victor is sure and not too costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may be even a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory because it is better than to live as slaves.'
