1,000,000% better than barking mad wackos out to lay waste to jobs and the economy in order to save the world from what the sun will do with it anyway.
Yeah, while China and other countries nullifies all their stupid efforts taken here. And me dino is just talking about the voting sheeple who can't grasp what's up with the Marxist power grab game.

Funny. The only social media I took part in until recently was a little Instagram account. I deleted it when I started seeing fact checking on it. No social media for me. My wife shows me glimpses of facebook sometimes when we can watch somebody we know lose their marbles, viciously attack others for vaccines or politics, etc. What a mess...

Imagine the Sixties lib Flower Children champions of free speech and diversity devolving into 2021 zombies marching in lockstep for the sake of party unity with fascists who call themselves Antifa.
Trouble is, the odd libtard who can't think or act lockstep well enough will always be sniffed out and called a racist or an Uncle Tom.
Me dino suddenly recalls a lady in as rural Alabama town who described gossips as needing someone down so to feel taller, hopping upon a carcass and spreading their wings, triumphantly squawking as the vultures they are.
You don't have to be a small town gossip to get into that very human yet evil frame of mind to gain a phony sense of self-worth.

Actually the Gulch in my mind consists of sage brush, mesquite, cactus, and lizards with a few wild burros. I like the desert. But it’s nice to chase butterflies once in a while.

Me dino is in the middle of Alabama. Plants are different with a whole lot of trees overhead that are dangerous during windy tornado weather.
But there's lizards here too during the summer along with butterflies and at night lightning bugs flicking on and off. Have a couple of humming bird feeders and await their migrating return this spring.

Out here in the pine woods, we watch out for falling trees. We had a 40 ft pine fall on our driveway Friday and the top half of a pine snapped off and hung down 20 ft in the air next to our deck 3 weeks ago.
            Got firewood?

Careful burning a lot of pine in a fireplace or wood stove as it has lots of tar that can contribute to a chimney fire. Season it well and mix it in with good hardwoods and you'll be fine.

We have 3 fireplaces that came in handy one winter when we were without power for 14 days. We set one up for cooking and my wife and I had fun making creative meals. Actually, we did a lot of tent camping for years and were familiar with wood fire cooking and had the equipment to do it with already on hand. No big deal if the SHTF - at least for a while.

Me dino would have plenty of firewood if I had a fireplace. Here in Pleasant Grove, a satellite city of Birmingham, during 2011 a lot of people were killed as a F5 tornado that also hit Tuscaloosa an hour's drive south of here and abnormally pretty much stayed on the ground like a huge bulldozer all the way here where it slammed into Concord, Hueytown, Pleasant Grove and north Birmingham. My home a quarter of a mile from what looked like a war zone, a huge pecan tree nevertheless tore down power lines as it crossed my front yard, the top of the tree landing a yard short of my front steps. Last week a smaller tornado wrecked Fultondale, another Birmingham satellite, and the only fatal casualty was a teenaged boy hit by a falling tree.

Gosh, Dino, you seem to be living in a storm alley. Be safe and be careful!

Thanks for your concern. What helps is living to houses down from a very loud storm warning siren. The only annoying thing about it that it's tested 10AM sharp on the Wednesday of the first week of each month. I actually have to cover my ears if caught outside in the yard.

On a serious note, I think that banning President Trump from Insta-twitface, if the intent was to quash his political influence and future, is backfiring. My sense is that support for President Trump and his America First agenda is holding firm, if not strengthening. Perhaps it is like what I learned from teaching 19 years at a middle school... if you forbid something, then the forbidden becomes more attractive.

I had the same experience... I was in college when I got glasses. I was most intrigued by the leaves on the trees, now that I could see them...

You story reminds me of the day I got my hearing aids from the VA. As I walked down the hall leaving, I kept turning around to see who was following me. It turned out to be my footsteps sound bouncing off the walls. I also was shocked when I heard how much noise it makes to relieve yourself, yah they still had mens rooms. A few days later I had an appointment, I had to walk a short distance outside. On the way I found myself looking up to the sky, my mouth hanging wide open in awe, listening to the birds. I had honestly forgotten how much noise they make. I never had Twitter, but had deleted my Facebook account some months ago, even selling my stock shares. Life is much better without.

Me dino wears hearing aids. I've experienced the same things.
That jogs a memory. When I turned 15 I flunked an eye test and needed glasses so I could get a permit for my parents to teach me how to drive.
When I got my new glasses, I was fascinated by the fact I could see all those little leaves in the trees.

My mental health has been very well right along but I did in fact refuse to participate in 99% of all those SM outlets. I find the Gulch mostly refreshing but otherwise keep to my own circle of like minded friends. I have no time nor desire to argue with idiots.

That’s satire not reality. To prevent misunderstandings, especially as nowadays very weird things actually happen and a common response from the uneducated messes is “I thought you were just kidding,” we need to identify satire explicitly whenever we post it or links to it.
