So she knows there will be protests no matter how the dishonesty associated with the election plays out - and she wants the National Guard there unarmed and unprotected with body armor. She sounds like the idiots who vote to defund the police then call them for help :-(

    This lady mayor reminds me of my mother saying, 'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!' National Guard troops do not come in unarmed or unprotected!

      I think this was done with DJT's full approval, so he has the Guard there in case he needs them to prevent violence. This way, he can ensure order without actually ordering up the Guard himself.

        Trump "prevent violence?" He was instramental in fomenting the Capitol insurection in the first place! ...and now we have another demonstrator killed by the police. Are going to see more "George Floyd"-type demonstrating and looting?

          If you didn't know George Floyd, you shouldn't be commenting on this action. True the police acted violently. George Floyd was 6'6" tall and a very large, drugged out person. A long, long history of misbehavior. I am saddened by it, but he was non angel.

          I believe you may be right that Trump was "intramental" (sic) in fomenting the "insurection" (sic). However nobody, including DJT, knows what is going to happen next in the Deep States' effort to win the election. They are desperate because they are afraid of what will happen to them when Trump wins.

          I think it is obvious that the insurrection was caused by members of Antifa, not Trump supporters. And it was supported by the capitol police. They obviously got way out of hand in murdering one of the invaders.

          But I firmly believe that Trump does have a plan to win, and that he will succeed. You should follow the latest X22 Reports if you want to see more about this.

    It is frustrating, the Dems had troops on the ground for over a year. They have no reservations about employing whatever it takes to control the ground, including And especially violence and chaos. Republicans and general populous are still in shock??     I bet she did not get the message BLM were the ringleaders, not the elderly Trump protesters. Some forgot to tell her they were there, or she would have ignored it as in the past and in other cities.She would have said what they did at otehr riots. just people acting out, to be expected.
