“Have you had your shot?”

This is a reoccurring Question that my wife has been asked as well as myself. “Did you get the shot”?
I have said “I am not going to” or “I am part of the medical trial ...I’m in the control group” or the extremely unpopular
“I am acting as a free man”.another disliked reply is “sorry that is a HIPPA violation”
My bride has just said she doesn’t “trust it”.
I feel this a very dividing moment in time. “It’s the do it or die” Chant for an initiation to a club We don’t want to join.
It is a moment that makes me clearly see the elegant simplicity of Rands message .........Collectivism is the cancer destroying the individual.
it is a moment that I feel the real pressure from others who are pushing me to conform , to self sacrifice myself for someone else’s peace of mind. Bullied to take the Jab for the “greater good”
Essentially it’s slavery.

Ayn Rands powerful character John Galt’s slogan written on the power plant in
Galt’s Gulch,Colorado.

On a sign written
“I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.”

The philosophy of attaining the highest moral action , of living your life with your ethical self-interest as your purpose is a basic principle for humanities future success.. Truly it actually is practiced by many people who don’t even have a clue nor an understanding of what makes a person tick so to speak. Often missing though is “ethical” . Are the folks who ask “Did you get your shot?” acting in their self interest yes but not in an ethical fashion. They want someone to give them something without trading value. They will use a mob mentality and will be passively aggressive or will simply bully you.
When posed with the question “Did you get the shot?” I might just ask how many shots would they be willing to take to make me feel safe?

Many people actually have immunity that may not be able to be detected by antibodies. There is a new FDA approved test that measures T cell activity indicating that type of immunity. From the data I have been able to see the worst reactions to the shot are the ones that had covid exposure already. I, as a pediatrician, have not had my shot yet, I am watching. I have been in the middle of it for over a year and see no hurry.

I read an article by a doctor who said to get herd immunity we needed people to experience the virus and then they would develop antibodies which are needed. I had the virus. Fortunately my doctor who is an Internist, urologist and pathologist doesn't trust the vaccine, so he didn't recommend I take the vaccine because I've survived the H1N1 whatever and H2N2 thingy and two other types of flu. He felt I already had antibodies.

The good news is I've had 2 pneumonia vaccine shots so I didn't develop respiratory problems.
Two other doctors and my stepdaughter who is a knowledgeable RN didn't trust the vaccine either. I was ill from Jan 6-12, lost my appetite and didn't eat for 6 days but I pushed fluids. Had stomach distress and no appetite, ran fever of 102 one day and then low grade the rest of the time. Lost 16 pounds (boy do I look good in a size 10). I just had about $1,000 worth of blood work and they didn't find anything bad. I have really good insurance...Dept of Defense. If someone feels nervous they should take the vaccine. But I am not taking it. I don't like my feelings about it. N

    Yes, yes.
There would be a few who believe they will benefit personally, there are many who are cajoled into making the effort for the common good. To boast about having it is moral posturing / virtue signalling - look at me, see what I have done for the good of all.
Watch out for the public shaming, the insult, the sneers, directed at the non-takers.

Just suppose for a moment you really did believe in the common good,
(rather than deep state interests and big pharma sales),
what to do? It is all set out in the Great Barrington Declaration. It certainly brings in government, but to identify and arrange support for the vulnerable, ensure choice and treatments are available, voluntary, and helping rather than compelling.

I was reading the VAERS report from a couple months ago. At that time they were giving the vax to medical workers. A whole bunch of people in their 30s, 40s, and 50s just went home and died after vaccination at the beginning of the application of this vaccine. The deaths were almost always sudden. There were a few who became very weak, were brought to the hospital where they died. My neighbor/friend just lost his mother. 2 days post vaccine she collapsed on her floor and was found dead the next day. It looks like these sudden deaths are blood clot-related. But, I'm not sure.

All that aside...I am really surprised at all the people who feel the need to broadcast that they got the shot. Why are they doing this? I guess I should ask them myself. I don't understand it. It makes me want to lie and say I've gotten all of the shots - Moderna, Pfizer, J&J, Astrazenica, and all other due to be out including all boosters. Why not? What's the point?

“When seniors die before vaccination, officials and their media partners blame COVID-19 and use the mortalities to ratchet up fear levels and mobilize every institution to fight the dread disease. But when seniors die following vaccination, media and the medical establishment declare their sudden departures to be from “natural causes” with no action necessary.” – Robert F. Kennedy Jr
