Never heard of Vanilla Coke and had to look it up to be sure it's real. Old dino remembers when white supremacy WAS real. It's race hustlers like Al Sharpton, BLM and all those woke and Coke jokes who still fantasize the IS.

Or maybe it was a good excuse to dump a lesser product and look woke. I remember during Obama when some intl. corps. in US stopped flying the US flag, but later returned to it when Trump came in. Oligarchs know where there brad is buttered.

Yup . It has been said and it is true. There is no QAnon. There is a Q and that Q posts or has posted Questions or info from open source sites. Then people anonymously reply with the research they have found on the topic. Hence they are called anons. It is not screened or censored. Some of the anons posts are golden and some are garbage. Q has said do your own research and use your own reason and logic to come to conclusion. Even people on the Gulch forum have stated that it is a Chinese psyop and it allowed Biden to win. Think about it.....Biden didn’t win they stole a landslide victory from Trump. Trump had the greatest base of supporters in history. Q definitely played a role in building that base. Q led the anons to info about many crimes being committed many months or even years before it was brought to some in the public’s attention. When as an example I posted about Epstein and his Island no one new anything about it. Then a year or so later it was all over the news. Same with NXVIM. Same with FISA abuse . Same with election fraud as well as more things yet to come to light. Only Trump has been more maligned than Q. They hate Q because he helps expose the nasty $hit they do. Who gets the most flak the one who is over the target.

Could we ask that it be called "Woke Coke?" Is 'generic' a racist term? I am looking for a PC substitute.

With the very very improbable activity in our government and among the leftists nowadays, we can no longer jump to the conclusion that something absurd is in fact satire the way we could a century ago.

brightwater - yes. To be honest, I do have a problem with separating satire from news. I read the news on several outlets, it seems so crazy I think- surely this is satire!
I then read Babylon and think- looks quite realistic.

Why Fake News works on the behalf of the Democrats.
It was NOT on Fake News that me dino heard (a week before Nov. 3) that an unspecified number of voters had complained, "If I had only known about Hunter, I never would have voted for Biden."

Of all the frictional resistances....the one that restricts human movement the most is ignorance!

Coke cola wants to train their white employees to be less white. That is not satire. That is anti-Caucasian. Coke can up the managements ass is where it should be shoved. Humor only works if it has some reality to it.

“If you feel distraught that you were unaware this was satire, you have the freedom to take responsibility or blame another.”

If I am offended by what someone else says or writes, that’s strictly my problem. You’re right about that issue. But I have the right to speak up about my feelings in response. The announcement of an unpopular opinion or an embarrassing fact may offend the narrow-minded or the politically correct, but such discourse is necessary in free society and the offense when it occurs is part of the price paid for free speech. That kind of offense is unpreventable. What I object to is speech or writing that provides no facts or opinions or constructive arguments that can instead be made in a straightforward way, therefore without merit in the context of political dialog, and has the downside of risking confusion among some of us. Saying that satire is fun or makes political points is no defense, because if it is clearly labeled as such then its benefits are preserved and its downsides do not exist.

If there is a case for posting satire without its being clearly identified as such, let’s learn what it is. I make my case against such postings.

Highlighting cognitive defects, here in the case of satire detection, is essentially the same as using peer pressure to demand thought-process conformity, exactly what leftist militants do. We need to respect each other including the right to think differently from each other.

Do you think they know vanilla is actually very brown in color? Or does being "Woke" actually mean facts don't matter?

the purpose of the Babylon Bee is to push the edge just enough to be believable and to be satirical.

Clearly this was a successful article for them, as so many here believed it without checking the source.

The either or view that his intention was thinking we are mentally defective or was duped himself leaves little room for nuance. Why assume the worst?

If you feel distraught that you were unaware this was satire, you have the freedom to take responsibility or blame another.
Taking responsibility I believe is the way of those in the proverbial Gulch.

Unlikely, because that person posts very often and I am pretty sure is familiar with Babylon Bee. Let's see if that person posts a reply here affirming being duped or instead disparaging us for being "mentally defective" and not identifying satire.

Freedom includes the right to exist without guilt, even if disabled, even if not conforming in thought processes, as long as we don't interfere with anyone else's rights. Using guilt, shame, aggressive teasing, disparaging comments, or other tools of harassment to enforce popular ways of thinking is a well-known tool of our political enemies and has no place here. Dividing us into those who recognize satire and those who don't is dividing us and is destructive.

I'm not sure the person who originally posted it knew it was satire. It appears they were duped as well.

It should be identified as such in any posting here. Not everyone recognizes Babylon Bee, which I enjoy reading, as satire instead of literal fact.

A survivor of major central nervous system trauma and a stroke and one who suffers from PTSD, though I function independently I am mentally one of the walking wounded to the extent that I cannot distinguish between truth and "just kidding" without help. Posting satire material without flagging it as such is, by my standards, the moral equivalent of dumping marbles on the floor and not warning a blind person who approaches them of the danger.

You don't seem to mention your dino ancestors any more. Some had very excellent
colors and even some with spectacular plumage.
There is only one human species and all are individuals, no two the same, even identical twins.
