    I don't know if he could win the election, but I want him to run for POTUS. He may not be everyone's cup of TEA, but I could live with his philosophy of governance.

      I like his style OA. .If it looks like he may run I wonder what the left will do to try and destroy him.

        Hello richrobinson,
        I know what you mean. I am also afraid that while he has the intellectual ammunition, he may lack the commanding presence... the "gravitas" for lack of a better word, needed to win. Unfortunately elections are not much more than beauty contests nowadays. One must look the part and say the right things to the uninformed masses who are generally just looking for what is in it for themselves near term. The future be damned...
        To begin with we know they will label him as an isolationist and a right wing extremist. What they use ultimately to destroy him assumes he will be destroyed... Unfortunately, my optimism, fading with each passing election, leads me to conclude the probability of that happening, is considerable. Galt! I want a real leader to step up and win!

        " To be, or not to be: that is the question:
        Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
        The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
        Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
        And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
        No more; and by a sleep to say we end
        The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
        That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
        Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
        To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
        For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
        When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
        Must give us pause: there's the respect
        That makes calamity of so long life;
        For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
        The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
        The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
        The insolence of office and the spurns
        That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
        When he himself might his quietus make
        With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear,
        To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
        But that the dread of something after death,
        The undiscover'd country from whose bourn
        No traveller returns, puzzles the will
        And makes us rather bear those ills we have
        Than fly to others that we know not of?
        Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
        And thus the native hue of resolution
        Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
        And enterprises of great pith and moment
        With this regard their currents turn awry,
        And lose the name of action. - Soft you now!
        The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons
        Be all my sins remember'd." William Shakespeare - Hamlet 3/1

        Sorry to take up so much space richrobinson... feeling a bit beat down and fatalistic today.
        I hope NMA finds this one. I know she enjoys The Bard of Avon.
        Regards,
        O.A.

          Thanks O.A.. I understand the down feeling but I have hope. We can turn things around. I agree that the ONE has not emerged yet. The ONE who will galvanize the masses. Plenty of ammunition against the current course exists. We just need a leader to step into the void.

            I know you are right. Must keep a stiff upper lip... There is time for 2016. We must first get past 2014. Tomorrow... who knows what the future will bring? One can hardly believe the recent events that have yet gone unanswered. How much more could happen before the camels back is broke? I await the ONE "with bated breath."
