I think they missed the best Locke quote, which is at the beginning of Pendulum of Justice:

“Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people.”

Locke had more to do with how the US and commonwealth countries turned out than any other person in history.
