Having never lived under Socialism, Marxism, Communism, etc, I am not sure that my assessment is correct, but I think the goal of any oppressive government is to foster unhappiness within the masses so that they are "grateful" for whatever dictates the government deems appropriate.

We are seeing this play out with the Wuhan Virus restrictions throughout the US of A. More and more restrictions and controls are being mandated in numerous localities - the latest being re-closure of indoor eateries and drinking establishments as well as the stern warnings against travel and social get-togethers for the
upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday. If anyone thinks these will be lifted for the Christmas and New Year's Holidays, I have ocean front property in Kansas I am willing to sell you.

As a sign of protest against the mandates of oppression, I will be whistling a few bars of " 'Tis the Season To Be Jolly ..." wherever I
go in public, especially when required to "Don the Mask of Obedience". Nothing irks the oppressive leaders more than clear-thinking, independent- thinking, and happy 'oppressed' individuals whom they want to be unhappy and miserable.

Will you join with me in my protest? Maybe you have a more appropriate tune to whistle?
