I do a lot of visualization already, but I tend to visualize how awful it would be instead of visualizing how I might be able to overcome the fear.
Back in the summer of 2015, I was on the slopes of Mt. McKinley for 19 days ... all we had was snow, ice, rock and sky ... plus the inside of the tent. We were very remote within the Denali National Park... in some way, it was like a jail, a self-imposed commitment to a frozen wasteland with the interior of a tent being the only visual counterpoint to the vastness and indifference of the environment surrounding us. But I never got bored, not even for a minute. Whether moving forward from camp to camp or just laying there in the tent, I took comfort in the always available refuge of my mind.
I think that through practice, you can mentally remove yourself from the state of fear as it relates to imprisonment and focus on your individual identity in terms of your mind and how you choose to reflect on your past and visualize your future. I think it was Victor Frankl in his book "Man's Search for Meaning" when he wrote that, while in the prison camps, he would visualize his eventual freedom and lecturing to students. These mental exercises kept him strong and gave him a reason to endure. Seeing your future self actively partaking in meaningful events is an avenue toward happiness and peace.
The worst nightmare I ever had in my life was dreaming I was in jail and deservedly so. I woke up screaming.

Still, what do I know? I do not even believe in the merit of the PCR test.
Just for fun-
Southern California. Dr Brian Tyson has successfully treated over 1,700 patients with hydroxychloroquine.
C19 is not nearly as dangerous as the media makes out. Since March his clinic has seen over 16,000 patients, of those there were 1,700 positive cases. they got HCQ, zinc, and zithromax or doxycycline depending on the risk of cardiac arrhythmias. One went to hospital for days then recovered, others all recovered. Dr Tyson says-
Using that regime the country could be opened tomorrow, most people would not need it.
If the medical board wants to take my license I'll find a lawyer, I am not going to let my patients die over politics. We do not need a vaccine.
Lockdown more harmful to the public health than C19. first it was 2-weeks. then 6-months. Then complete lockdown. No science behind that,. We do not want governments to control our lives. We want to be able speak, to choose, have the right to try medication, to listen to doctors treating patients rather than administrators with no medical degree.

I am in the high risk category due to age. Hubby is also, due to age plus a giant bulla in one lung. And you know what? We just live our lives. I have probably only worn a mask a TOTAL of 30 minutes since this all came about. I just don't do it. Today's revelation was that I live in the most extreme-risk zip code for our entire county, based on the percentage of infected people. That means a full lockdown for people our age, with no going anywhere, mask required any time I'm outside the house, and you know what? Not doing it.
The only thing that bothers me a little bit about this is the question: is it better for me to just get the darn thing NOW while I am younger than I will be tomorrow/next week/next month etc., or try to avoid it knowing I might not be able to? Still haven't decided yet, but for crying out loud, people need to get back to work, and school, and offices, and everything!
