That's partly the point. Bill Gates has been behind mandatory vaccinations for a host of things, yet suddenly now there's an outbreak and a vaccine is a possibility and he's backing away... It's because he doesn't stand to make any money from it and it doesn't achieve his goals of population control.

That being said, I understand the caution about "rushing" a vaccine. Normally, vaccines take 2-3 years minimum to develop. But this entire virus isn't a medical issue - it's a political one. It was man-made in China and released by them. The US media and leftist politicians have been using it to attack Trump and shut down businesses, schools, ... just life in general. Many claim they won't re-open until a vaccine is available. Trump is calling their bluff and forcing them to expose themselves as the power-mongers they are - just as he did when he sent the hospital ship to NYC and arranged with manufacturers to pump out ventilators - which never even ended up being used. He's also using this to head off the currently corrupt process involving vaccines which enriches those at the CDC and NIH in addition to the pharmaceutical companies.

That's right. Zero liability. Talk about a profitable racket! Thanks to George W, also. Oh and Dick Army played a roll in that, by his own admission. They hung the American people with that one. But, don't worry - it's only children getting harmed (a few billion $ in Federal Vaccine Court settlements for injuries already) and they don't vote, so...(sarcasm)

Sorry, I can't agree on this one. Where my personal health is concerned, who should I trust--a politicion or medical science? Any "vaccine" rushed to general usage just prior to a presidental election would be suspect in my mind,

I fear that's certainly how the Democrats feel. They're not nearly as concerned about solving problems but as getting credit for "trying to get something done." That their efforts only end in more problems is lost on many people - especially the voters.

I'll bet that many of these quasi-dictators were depending on the standard 2-3 year development times and sat behind their desks licking their chops in anticipation. What has been staggering is the silence from many of these same individuals when Trump announced the very real probability of a vaccine by the end of the year and possibly before the election.

Since sometime in April or May the cry from the left, those governors and mayors, quasi dictators, clamored about having a vaccine before they would open up their states and cities to any type of normal living, some were quite emphatic! If that was the benchmark, what happened? First: they didn't expect one to be in the offing so they could continue their reigns of terror. Second: now that there are several viable possibilities they need to minimize their effects, if positive, by they same scare tactics they use in the first point. Third: would they really wait until there is a different President to say it's safe? That could be four more years! Fourth: the theory which has been posited by many commentators that if President Trump were to announce a cure fore cancer the left would still denigrate him just because he won the Presidency. Even if a vaccine is developed after he leaves office it will still be by the very same people who are working on it now whether it comes tomorrow or in those four years. Some have pushed to keep schools closed until there is a vaccine, that would be counterproductive to the left's indoctrination program that parents and concerned citizens can monitor with virtual learning. GOSH! What's a liberal to do?
