IMO, Charged Kid Only Guilty Of Self Defense
~~and immaturely wanting to be a vigilante protector of businesses at the inexperienced age of 17. Me dino would not allow my teenager to do such a thing, especially in another town, but I can recall sneaking out of the house at Kyle's age.

The punk appears to strike Kyle from behind. More punks are seen in pursuit as Kyle runs on. Kyle then falls. Can't tell if he fell or was hit by something thrown. That does not matter.
What matters is that several punks attacked Kyle when he was down on his back.
Kyle opens fire. He only shoots attackers, who receives Darwin Awards, one posthumously, for attacking someone with a firearm. No one else. One punk raises his hands. Kyle simply gets up and leaves.
He walks on tries to tell police in several vehicles what had just happened.
Me dino hopes Kyle is found not guilty.

Bottom line~~know a state's freaking laws before you do anything within its boundaries.
I saw another vid from WTMJ where the Sheriff says "We didn't invite them (militia)"....of course not stupid. That's what militia is for.
A 26 and 36 y/o as "victims", we would think, should know better than to engage in combative behavior against one who is obviously retreating. Unfortunately STUPID got fixed the hard way. What worries me is the potential for harm of Kyle in the future.
Because he was under 18 and carrying the weapon is a violation of WI law. WI is an open carry state over age 18. This is the only place where I can see the defense getting mired.
There's an alternate video I saw yesterday. Seen farther back from a different angle, a lot of "peaceful protesters" took off running after Kyle fired those 3 shots.
The one posted here me dino saw for the first time today.
I presume Kyle is fated to grow into a frightening entity of some sort..

That still means the wounded punk still wins the Darwin Award. You don't run into the point blank range of a shooter with a pistol in your hand. You should already be shooting at the shooter.
