    I sympathize with the hurting fingers. Mine do, too, especially where the thumbs go into the wrists. The other fingers are just a bit stiff. NSAID of choice at the time and a warm water soak for a few minutes relieves a lot. My attitude is damn the pain and full speed ahead - I want to play something really decent before I'm planted.

    Always wanted to learn piano but never got around to it...Guitar playing these days is rough and sometimes painful due to a bum finger and not interested in playing just bar cords...haven't really played since I was 30.

    I didn't have an opportunity to learn an instrument until now and am learning piano/keyboard - tough on the old neurons, but I'm making progress. In those days it was sufficient to hang out with some guys in a band and drink beer.

    I read a book some time ago, "The Ominous Parallels" by Leonard Peikoff that addresses this issue. Maybe it's time to read it again.

    I'm waiting for Trump and many others to finally get fed up and call a spade a spade and start calling the D party Neo Communists and many of its followers Marxists. This is what they are and pulling down the veil they hide behind would be a great step in turning things around.

    Although the Gestapo is generally associated with SS Leader Heinrich Himmler, it was actually founded by Hermann Göring in April 1933.

    Upon becoming Chancellor of Germany, Adolf Hitler had appointed Göring as Minister of the Interior for the State of Prussia, Germany's biggest and most important state, which controlled two thirds of the country, including the capital, Berlin, and the big industrial centers. As Minister of the Interior, Göring thereby had control of the police.

    The first thing he did was to prohibit regular uniformed police from interfering with Nazi Brownshirts out in the streets. This meant that innocent German citizens had no one to turn to as they were being beaten up by rowdy young storm troopers drunk with their newfound power and quite often drunk on beer. These young Nazi toughs took full advantage of police leniency to loot shops at will and terrorize Jews or anyone else unfortunate enough to be caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

    You know. I thought Q was just some clever conspiracist entertainment, but on looking at 'his' postings more closely this looks like classic agit-prop, and very well put together. (i.e. professionally put together). take little pieces of truth, suggest some not unreasonable inferences, then once you have the mark's attention, throw in a related claim which is hard to prove, but "fits". Now that you've gotten some buy in to a worldview, ask some leading questions. (wash, rinse, repeat). It's astonishing how suggestible people are...

    All I remember about, "Then" was Kent State and of course the Demo Convention in Chicago, although, it did seem someone had it in for Nixion but I also suspected he wasn't a great guy...sheesh!, All I cared about in those days was Cars and Chicks!

    My mom is a leftist. Recently she returned from a trip to Germany. She was showing me photos of a concentration camp/museum. She was going on and on until I said, "You know, mom - the nazis were socialists." She went ballistic. Refused to believe me.
