Here is something different: Humorous but true: Doublethink in the Time of Societal Upheaval/

I actually enjoyed this article, I even chuckled a few times nodding my head in agreement.
Here is a sample:
"“New normal” is a perfect example of doublethink. “Normal” is what we are used to. If it’s new, we’re not used to it – it’s different. Don’t tell us we will have a “new normal” when what you actually mean is that things are going to be different."

With the right inflections...this would be a great comedy skit...hence, I've labeled it humor, in spite of it's seriousness.

Professionals are the least proficient in their professions.
The socially distant are anti social.
Safetyism is unsafe
Experts are always wrong.

That, ladies and Gentlemen is the new normal we aren't used to yet.

My younger friends are aghast at what we did and said at the office during the 60's! I keep them so amused they think I should write a book but who would believe it today?

Fortunately we had a sense of humor and didn't take things as seriously as the current group does.

When I was 18 years old, i was told to get the Christmas decorations out of the file room. I got up on a ladder and one of the field men walked in just as I slipped. I landed on top of him sitting on his chest. He was flat on the floor. We were laughing so hard I couldn't get up. Our boss worked in and said, 'Children...not at the office, please!' We just laughed harder.

I think we can, at least momentarily, regain our sanity but remembering the good times..it also helps to laugh at ourselves...that's something the young can't do these days.

I think we could revise, Yogi's saying: The past ain't what it used to be these days.
