The Progressive Racism of the Ivy League

Last week, Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband charged, “Yale discriminates based on race… in its undergraduate admissions process and race is the determinative factor in hundreds of admissions decisions each year.

“Asian Americans and whites have only one-tenth to one-fourth of the likelihood of admission as African American applicants with comparable academic credentials…

“Yale uses race at multiple steps of its admissions process resulting in a multiplied effect of race on an applicant’s likelihood of admission.

There has been a reverse discrimination case presented to the courts wherein a Caucasian student was denied admission to a medical school in favor of an African American even though the Caucasian student had superior academic credentials. . Guess who lost the case?

Did it go to a 5-4 conservative SCOTUS? (Yes, it may be a 4-4-1 SCOTUS now, not 5-4.)

Yep. Landmark case U of Cal vs Bakke. Actually Bakke was admitted to med school and did exceedingly well. The case put limits on the scope of affirmative action. Pissed the liberals off to no end. Looks like Yale may be in for a world of hurt.

But it allowed racial profiling of students (otherwise known as racism or reverse discrimination or affirmative action) to continue.
So police can't rationally use racial profiling to protect the people from possible criminals based on past acts, but it's fine for leftist university admissions officers to racially profile students and reject better qualified students based on skin color.

Agreed. The question remains the extent to which race can be a parameter. My problem with the decision is that it muddied the equal protection clause. It smacks of Animal Farm - some are more equal than others.

Race should not be a parameter at all unless you are doing medical research and then it may indicate a biological difference that affects treatment or probability of disease based on scientific evidence.
If you want for outcomes to suffer and to result in lower benefits to all living things on the planet earth then giving unearned advantages to those with inferior performance is a great policy.
In no way is it a rational policy. It is insane.

This is how people are promoted at the Alabama Department of Corrections. A year before me dino retired, two fellow officers I had known for 21 years competed for a sergeant promotion.
One was a hard-nosed by the book Caucasian and the other a black dude known for doing goofy stuff. And let me please point out that the black dude was an exception compared to other officers of his race.
A lot of jaws dropped when the white dude was not made sergeant. Including my own. It was affirmative action on steroids.

In case you weren't already done with racist black "leaders", here is one more reason:
Duke Professor Proposes $12 Trillion In Reparations
        https://campusreform.org/?id=15473

The so-called teachings of this professor?
African-American Studies, Stratification Economics, Socioeconomic Inequality, Reparations.
Darity’s "research" focuses on inequality by race, class and ethnicity, stratification economics, schooling and the racial achievement gap, North-South theories of trade and development, skin shade and labor market outcomes, the economics of reparations, the Atlantic slave trade and the Industrial Revolution, the history of economics, and the social psychological effects of exposure to unemployment.

This so-called educator has been living off of leftist grants for decades and has never done a productive day's work in his racist biased life. When you pay someone repeatedly to get racist biased results, that is what you will see, even when none of it is based on fact.
Yes, the "professor" is a black racist.

So this can be done without raising taxes, the professor said. Yeah, print up trillions like a for pandemic stimulus. Somehow I think a price for such behavior will still find a way into my wallet.
Why am I thinking of that German woman who wheel-barreled a pile of cash to buy a loaf of bread?

Yes, just as the "cost" to taxpayers of the trillions "printed" for the pandemic relief is hidden, the idiot racist professor hides his knowledge of that economic reality. Or he's as stupid as he appears and has no knowledge of reality. Why should he know about economic reality? He's lived off irrational grants and reverse discrimination funding his entire adult life and has never had to prove any economic value.

Wonder if that genius professor ever even took an economics course. Dinky little Troy State that I went to made taking economics 101 a requirement. So was talking philosophy 101, though that was just basic course in logic where I first heard of and learned not to use the ad hominems I'm so fond of using.
Yeah, I mean damn that Nasty Nancy Porkin' Piglosi, Quid Pro Quo Joe, Kommie Kamala, Cackles Clinton The Evil Hag and all the rest of those Demonrats!
