NYC councilman says hydroxychloroquine helped him recover from COVID

City Councilman Paul Vallone credits the controversial malaria drug hydroxychloroquine with saving his life as he battled the coronavirus earlier this year.
Vallone, a Democrat representing Queens, told the New York Post that the drug “worked for me” when he was battling a bad case of the virus back in March.
“I couldn’t breathe, very weak, couldn’t get out of bed,” Vallone told the paper. “My doctor prescribed it. My pharmacy had it. Took it that day and within two to three days I was able to breathe.”
Vallone, who suffers from the auto-immune disease sarcoidosis, said his case was bad enough that he “needed something to stay alive.” He took hydroxychloroquine with a flu Z-pack and “within a week I was back on my feet.”

The HCQ-AZ combination, when started immediately after diagnosis, appears to be a safe and efficient treatment for COVID-19, with a mortality rate of 0.5%, in elderly patients. It avoids worsening and clears virus persistence and contagious infectivity in most cases. https://docs.google.com/document/d/15...
Historical controls are used in many previous studies in medicine. In this respect, the safety of Hydroxychloroquine is well documented. When the safe use of this drug is projected against its apparent effect of decreasing the progression of early cases to ventilator use, it is difficult to understand the reluctance of the authorities in charge of U.S. pandemic management to recommend its use in early COVID-19 cases. The effects of the chloroquines were first outlined 15 years ago by the CDC’s own Special Pathogens Unit.
This just about says it all. Now who was it that ran the CDC special Pathogen Unit? Was that not as well the same person who approved the use of historical controls in his own work and recommendations - Dr A Fauci!

Hydroxychloroquine With a Zpack or Azythromycin. If the New Yellow Times hates it you have to wonder why.

Ignoring Expert Opinion, Trump Again Promotes Use of Hydroxychloroquine
2 hours ago · Mr. Trump's recommendation of hydroxychloroquine, for the second day in a row at a White House briefing, was a striking example of his brazen willingness to distort and outright defy expert ..
Well well ........They did not report this. Hmmmmm
New York doctor says he has successfully treated coronavirus patients' symptoms using hydroxychloroquine sulfate, zinc, and azithromycin.
Dr. Vladimir Zelenko is a registered family doctor in Monroe, New York, where he runs two clinics and has said he has successfully treated respiratory symptoms of 699 coronavirus patients using a cocktail of the drugs, including the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine, a derivative of chloroquine.
The insanity in this.
I also love how a CRAPPY study is used to discredit HCQ, but the many positive studies are absolutely ignored. Admittedly, some are not great studies.
But during a pandemic there is FAR MORE evidence that HCQ,Zinc,AZ work than there is evidence that Face Masks are working!
Can anyone recall it?

The Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) in Southeast Michigan, a big fairly conventional study.
