Obamacare website has more lines of code than all of Debian Linux.
Almost as much code as Google Chrome, Win XP, OSX4, Facebook and Debian Linux... combined.

That's interesting. Where did this info come from? I was looking for details on how it is implemented but it all seemed locked behind closed doors.

Well, when medicare first launched, it took roughly two years to get all the bumps ironed out. I expect we'll be seeing something similar here.

But yeah, that is a lot of code. Note sure why they think they need so much.

A definition for the word "bumps" with which I was previously unfamiliar.

It is no longer amusing to hear people using one unConstitutional overreach of government to justify a later overreach.

All you're making clear is that medicare, medicaid and social security were precursors to Obamacare, and we were right to oppose them.

I wasn't making an attempt at justification, merely pointing out that previous healthcare programs took a while to get running smoothly when they first started, so we shouldn't expect this time to be any different.

Whether or not such programs are Constitutional was beside the point.

I heard on the radio today that the administration changed things at the last minute so that you would not see the premiums until the end. They were worried about sticker shock. I look at this chart and think this was just a disaster from the jump.
