As a pediatrician am usually a vaccine advocate but this particular one has me concerned. It reminds me of the failed rsv vaccine from how they are making it(m rna based). additionally children's risk from covid for adverse events is such a small number that it approaches zero(. I am not talking about the rare idiosyncratic events that can occur with any virus at any time. )

OK...As a guy who has studied vaccines for almost two decades (as a reader of completed studies and being involved firsthand) I have to say something. It would not surprise me one bit if the most dangerous vaccine in the bunch now being developed and going through trials is the one selected by your government to be foisted upon your school kids I would not be surprised one bit. Not one bit. I actually have some hope for some of the new technology being applied by the industry in this effort. But, I have felt all along that it will be a company that has invested more in congress than the others that gets the deal, not the one with the best product. I hate being right on this stuff. I really do.

Note that kids were not part of this phase? Yep.

And...FWIW. Based on information I've received there is no way in hell the President's son is getting this vaccine. And, I'm not faulting the Pres about that. Not at all. But, it's a topic worthy of discussion...

There are adverse reactions to virtually all vaccines, but it is preferable to the disease, in most cases. To vaccinate or not is a difficult choice. Thousands have been spared by vaccines but a few were killed by then.

Just like antibiotics, they all weaken the species.
