    YMMV, but I consider it to be the single most important, cut-through-the-crap statement on the black supremacist / retro-Marxist putsch we have been seeing in the wake of the George Floyd incident.

      Wow! Very interesting read & thank you for sharing! Me & a friend from long ago talked last night for ~ 4 hrs, she happens to be a person of color too, & she made many of these same points (as the author of that letter) regarding why she strongly disagrees with this movement. It was refreshing to speak with someone who has no "triggers" for a change. More & more I've come to see a world full of NPCs (non-player-characters) bumping into walls repeatedly (or "snakes eating their own tails" was the analogy she liked) for lack of objective thinking & problem-solving capabilities. But life is still an exciting & rewarding enough adventure as-is & other objective free-thinking people (who are full of value in new ideas/information that can be gained) are still out there even if they're not the majority.

    First I heard of was Alex Jones. Stefan mentioned below. That’s a big one because Stef is a little teddy bear. They just don’t want his peaceful views getting out. Talk of the non-aggression principal...get censored. Go figure...

    ....and what was it that got them cancelled. For instance, I heard about St3phan M0lyneux getting booted from Youtube, but didn't hear why, so I went looking. Apparently it was an interview with a police officer about the R. Br00ks incident, and after watching it I can definitely see why.

    I'm just sick of the censorship, scrolling through a Facebook "feed" finding only a scrap of "food for thought" just here and there, and not being able to share something I found interesting because there's always someone who will get triggered & start in with the logical fallacies to promote & defend whatever popular opinion they have adopted into their persona. I figure the best way to find more interesting food for thought & to try to keep knowledge & free speech alive is to deliberately look into those people & views that are being kept out of the spotlight.

      If so, I agree, that video gives the explanation of the Brooks incident from the viewpoint of a police officer. That is the opposite of the narrative that the media and the scum running the City of Atlanta want people to see.

      If anyone has interest in an explanation of the Brooks incident, this is an educational video.

        Yep, that's the one. I quit following the big media "news" and the fear/anger inducing (often conflicting/contradictory) half-truths that they spin & started looking for more honest reporting of the things that have actually been going on (Tim Pool has been a pretty good source for catching up on "What happened today?") & though that interview is the opposite of the MM narrative, it aligns perfectly with actual events. Like rioters caught in the act of things like felony arson getting arrested only to get all charges dropped (hundreds of them by the same DA that dismissed Smollet's charges) while clear cut cases of lawful self-defense get arrested & the book thrown at them with bail set at crazy amounts. Of course officers are demoralized & stepping down now that it's clear that they could get arrested & face felony charges just for doing their job!

        It's all cause & effect. Release a ton of prisoners into the public, then get the "useful idiots" out in the streets as a human shield wearing the same colored shirts so provocateers can attack & disappear, officers told to stand down & let them set up cop-free zones, the politicians, "news", & prosecuters covering for whatever they do, & of course you get more chaos & violence. But the TV & social media is so easy, convenient, & normal for people to feed on that most folks just buy in and consequently are very poorly informed about what's going on in plain sight.

        My brother just deleted his FB and I've thought about it plenty too, but have still kind of had a gut feeling that maybe SOME good can come from not "de-platforming" myself from there. And a little just did. Last night when I made this post, I posted something similar on FB, went to work today, got home & found a PM from a friend from like 15 years ago who also has been following what's been going on with her eyes & mind open and also not really been finding anyone she can have a rational conversation with about any of this stuff. So we talked (just got off the phone & saw that it's been almost 4 hours that we've been talking) and now we both have at least 1 other person who we can talk to & share information that we find interesting & relevant without any triggers or wild assumptions.

        I really do appreciate the replies here and I should have more time tomorrow to start checking out some of the info that others shared.

          Welcome SS. If you have not read The Objectivist's Ethics, I suggest this as a starting point for understanding objective perception. A simple reasoning regarding values origin. I think this is Rand's most profound work. Take your time reading and reflecting. As you address events in your life the work becomes very self-evident.

            Thank you. I've heard of it & may have listened to it before, but if so it was with less focus & understanding. Starting on it again now & it does seem right up my alley. Atlas Shrugged I enjoyed immensely, but have only met a handful of people who have read it. I'm sure Rand is essentially banned for anyone clinging to dogmatic religion (like family & many friends here in "the Bible belt") & that's a shame because I for one found it VERY interesting and it stuck with me, coming back to mind in light of what I've been seeing in the world around me.
