Democrat Phoenix Mayor Lied About Morgue to Discredit the GOP Governor - Hoping to Affect the Senate Seat 2020 Election

Of course, it's not difficult to imagine why Gallego made such a specious - and, some might argue, alarmist - claim:

Democrats in the state believe they need to discredit Gov Doug Ducey's COVID-19 response if they want to succeed in flipping John McCain's old Senate seat, currently occupied by Republican Senator Martha McSally, on Nov. 3.

The special election is being held to find a permanent successor to the former presidential candidate and longtime Republican Senator.

That's funny. I design hospitals yet I've never heard of a "morgue bed". I'll have to use that around the office for some laughs.

Funny, viruses die in the body at 100 degrees or more, do you really think it could survive 118 degrees?

What's surprising is that pukititains could survive that kind of roasting while telling blatant lies.

If referring t fever, that is incorrect, however, it may be that cellular machinery might be slowed at the higher temp, thus impairing the virus ability to replicate.

“ Like other forms of inflammation, a fever enhances the innate immune defenses by stimulating leukocytes to kill pathogens. The rise in body temperature also may inhibit the growth of many pathogens since human pathogens are mesophiles with optimum growth occurring around 35 °C (95 °F). In addition, some studies suggest that fever may also stimulate release of iron-sequestering compounds from the liver, thereby starving out microbes that rely on iron for growth.”. N. Parrow et al. "Sequestration and Scavenging of Iron in Infection." Infection and Immunity 81 no. 10 (2013):3503–3514

            Nice googling, dude! LOLOL!!!!!

            http://courses.lumenlearning.com/micr...

There are many theories about fever and many have actual evidence to support them and others are just speculation and conjecture.

It also makes kids barf! LOLOL!

No, not googling , as I avoid Alphabet evil products wherever possible.

Do you understand the difference between a Reply (like the button says) and a retort?

More importantly here in the Gulch, do you understand the difference between rhetoric and eristic? Eristic seeks only to discredit and defeat the opponent regardless of the truth.

Ok, ok, we've been through the live/die thing and forgive my laymans observations.

"Fevers aren’t always a bad sign; you may even have heard that mild fevers are a good indication that your immune system is doing its job. But fevers aren’t just a byproduct of our immune response."

"In fact, it’s the other way around: an elevated body temperature triggers cellular mechanisms that ensure the immune system takes appropriate action against the offending virus or bacteria."

Perhaps you could suggest proper language, like: dormant/not able to replicate/ whatever...that would be helpful.

According to Merriam-Webster a virus is classified as "nonliving". Hence they cannot die.

        "Definition of virus

1a : any of a large group of submicroscopic infectious agents that are usually regarded as nonliving extremely complex molecules, that typically contain a protein coat surrounding an RNA or DNA core of genetic material but no semipermeable membrane, that are capable of growth and multiplication only in living cells, and that cause various important diseases in humans, animals, and plants"

They can be destroyed by UV-C wavelengths which warp their protein coating thus incapacitating their ability to couple with receptors on living cells.

Even unthinking, non intelligent things that can reproduce should be considered as "life" Meriams has a problem:
an organismic state characterized by capacity for metabolism (see metabolism sense 1), growth, reaction to stimuli, and reproduction

I would say a virus can meet those standards and thus be labeled as "life", therfore, they can be destroyed aka "death". Ascribing characteristics that have multiple levels, life can be several levels of existence. I would point out that stars are commonly said to have a "life cycle" and a birth, middle age, and death. Any item that can have a cyclical existence would seem to qualify?

Important alert: Still no comments by admin, someone else needed for this conversation.

I would ask all, to send admin a note then share your thoughts on this subject and support or not, a reprieve or commutation of Dan/ Dobrien's acceptance back into the Gulch.
I think John Galt would be in support of Dan seeing that he is a valued Creator.

Seems ewe has exited that conversation...I thought I could make some headway.
