My attitude toward the census is that the census-takers are entitled to exactly one thing and one thing only: My quantity. Which is what I gave them. I think there were some other things you had to answer just to get the thing to take the form - I can't remember what they were but aside from "race" or "ethnicity" or however they put it, I just clicked stuff at random.

For race I forget the exact wording but I went to the "Other" field and put something like "conceptual-level bipedal mammalian humanoid."

They are not acting in their own self-interest living like that and most of the supporters of the wholesale "looters and moochers" aren't even net beneficiaries. At most they are engaging in futile, losing, pressure group warfare. It is rationalized by altruism as the excuse.

That is also driving the use of the census for planning of redistribution to illegal aliens (who are becoming accepted as "legal", which will make the legal-illegal distinction irrelevant.) The census will not hold the states accountable for anything else.

Numbers don't lie but liars and cheaters skew the numbers. We honestly have no freaking clue how many moochers are living here in this country and we never will. The belief in our government's ability to keep track of anything is a fantasy. We sent out over 1.2 Billion in "Stimulus Checks to dead people and another ridiculous amount to convicted felons sitting in jails and prisons. How much more went out in the PPP payments to companies undeserving will also never be known. Handing a blank check to any government agency is the equivalent of handing your credit card to your X wife.

The purpose of the census to was to determine the representation of the people in congress. Since congress does not protect the people in their rights but constantly seeks methods for plundering and controlling them agreeing to be counted is pointless. The original census was to just find out how many residents were in a certain area. The current one is filled with unauthorized questions. I haven't filled one out in 5 decades.

So I've thought about this more today. Thanks for getting my mind working! Why is it not possible based on SS and death certificate along with using the USPS address service that they could not automate the population count and use that for the allocation of seats? Seems to me, that is a simple way of insuring that only US citizens are counted. It would also hold the States and localities accountable for any illegals. Am I missing something?

I politely disagree. We need to finally count all the people in this country who have come here without going through the proper procedures. I am sure that the number is much higher than has been commonly reported. Allocation of seats in the House of Representatives is based on census data, but should be based on citizens and perhaps legal residents.

You're right, a census is constitutional but I believe no longer needed and a total waste of money. Every single person born in this country get a SS number. And all deaths are recorded. They already have the number of people at their fingertips. No longer a need for the census, other than for the questions that are not constitutional.

A census is constitutional, but the current census form isn't. What annoys me is the advertising regarding its importance to how our money that they loot will be distributed to moochers.

I tried the online form and determined it was too intrusive. Waiting for my paper copy so I can skip what I don't consider a relevant question.
