"Defund the Police" is a Leftist Power Grab by Democrats

If you disagree with the Leftist Fascist BLM, then you are a racist and you have no right to your property or your freedom.

Among the higher income group (over $100k/yr) on the other hand twice as many favor cutting police funding - those who live in safe places and can afford private security.
Of course, there have been times when 73 (million) year old me dino has been proven to be wrong about this and that or the other.
Oh, woe is me!
At least, as Robin Williams said in his movie, Popeye, "I have a sensk of humiligration."
By that enacting that exact same process, change your moniker to Dinobrein and your tail will grow.
Don't worry about me lying. If that process doesn't work, you won't have a big time problem with wearing your pants.
Of Costner filcks, I liked Silverado best. Bull Durham was about equal to FoD. Draft Day wasn't horrible, but For The Love Of the Game was better.
For other baseball movies, how about It Happens Every Spring, A League of Their Own, Major League, Trouble With The Curve, Moneyball, The Rookie, and Mr. Baseball.
What I never saw written was that far too many often drab and/or ridiculous Spaghetti Westerns (started by a far superior Clint Eastwood trilogy by director Sergio Leone) cranked out by Italy and usually shot in Spain had completely burned out interest in going to see a Western. Same thing happened after a Hercules flick starring Steve Reeves invented the "Swords and Sandals" made in Italy genre.
But they don't want to eliminate the police, they want to replace them with their own collectivist-statist thugs enforcing socialistic ethnic balkanization as the ideal society.
They have no idea of what it is like to live "practically" like that, even for those relatively well off now; but that isn't their concern. Their irrationalist idea of the "good" supersedes the requirements of life. That is why it is worse among those with higher incomes: they are the most educated and the intellectuals are responsible for the spread of the destructive ideas.
Your statement contradicts ALL of your rejections of what you dismiss as “conspiracy theory”. You can’t have it both ways.
Organizations. They are anything but “grass-roots.

Q
For those here who do have an interest in Ayn Rand, the role of philosophical ideas in the rise of fascist politics in Germany is described in Leonard Peikoff's The Ominous Parallels. He researched and wrote the book in response to the rise of the New Left in the late 1960s and early 70s when he (and Ayn Rand) saw the similarities in fundamental premises in this country. German fascism was not a secret criminal conspiracy operating in an intellectual vacuum and neither is the trend in American culture and politics today.
June 1941, Nazi troops invaded the town of Lviv in western Ukraine. Upon discovering evidence of mass killings carried out by Soviet troops, German occupying forces had organised “revenge” pogroms against the city’s Jewish population.
Franz Roth’s photographs of the dead bodies inside Lviv prisons were selected upon Hitler’s personal orders and distributed to the American press via AP.
“Instead of printing pictures of the days-long Lviv pogroms with its thousands of Jewish victims, the American press was only supplied with photographs showing the victims of the Soviet police and ‘brute’ Red Army war criminals,” Scharnberg told the Guardian.
When people are unemployed, hungry and desperate, as millions were in Germany between 1930 and 1933, they often turn to extreme political parties offering simple solutions to their problems. Between 1930 and 1933 support for the extreme right-wing Nazis and the extreme left-wing communists soared.
By 1932 parties committed to the destruction of the Weimar Republic held 319 seats out of a total of 608 in the Reichstag, with many workers turning to communism. However, the real beneficiaries were the Nazis.
These disturbing tweets are sadly not a tiny fringe view on the left anymore. He just said it out loud. Many don’t want to co-exist like their bumper stickers used to say. Many really believe we’re less than human and think we belong in re-education camps. That’s the vile truth.
Yes, this is the same NYT that refused to run an op-ed from a US Senator that encouraged use of force to stop law breaking looters and arsonists.
That op-ed in favor of stopping law breaking looters was not acceptable to the NYT, who instead approved an op-ed that encourages Nazi-Germany style action against family members who disagree with law breaking looters.
It is surprising that cowardly CEO's ( for example, Wal-mart) surrender their right to free speech and pledge to donate millions to the thugs who run BLM?
They don't want their stores to be burned to the ground while the police who are controlled by coward Democrat mayors do nothing.
Instead the CEO's should be paying for armed private security forces to defend their property.
Trump does.
The policeman that killed George Floyd needs to be turned in to Alpo. You can just watch that video and see the satisfaction the little pencil-necked Barney Fife had by holding down a person he had no chance of even slowing down without a badge, gun and cuffs. After the guy is on the ground, why does he need to sit on him? Useless member of the human race we can do without.
Defunding police over this, accomplishes nothing but reasserting government control. Doing this at the same time massive gun control bills are being prepared is a perfect harbinger for totalitarianism. You will not protect you. We will protect you.
Fiscal power is infinite. The 16th is the worst!
I can easily imagine him doing the same thing to a white guy. Twice as many white people die in police custody as blacks.
I know, but there are three times as many white people as blacks. I was looking for data on violence and death during/after arrests, and as a percentage of those arrested, it seems that blacks are more likely than whites to be harmed.
But these things don't always happen with violent crimes. This one was counterfeiting. So it may well be that statistically blacks are more likely to be harmed.
But it's not a massive difference. As a society the problem isn't racist cops abusing black people it's bully cops abusing the people they feel are powerless.
And there is usually some component of resistance to arrest to these -- in this case, a refusal to get into the police car. The concept of being picked on by the police may be increasing the likelihood of resistance.
I'd like to have some better data to support my discussion with a few open-minded liberals, but I agree. Racism is not a problem. The best thing we can do is stop talking about it. Protests just make it worse.
Why did the racism come out now for the cop and not before? Why won’t they released the body cam videos?
