The Media is Lying About the ‘Second Wave’ of COVID19

"For months, the Washington Post and the rest of the mainstream media kept a morbid Covid-19 “death count” on their front pages and at the top of their news broadcasts. The coronavirus outbreak was all about the number of dead. The narrative was intended to boost governors like Cuomo in New York and Whitmer in Michigan, who turned their states authoritarian under the false notion that destroying people’s jobs, freedom, and lives would somehow keep a virus from doing what viruses always do: spread through a population until eventually losing strength and dying out.

The “death count” was always the headline.

But then all of a sudden early in June the mainstream media did a George Orwell and lectured us that it is all about “cases” and has always been all about “cases.” Death, and especially infection fatality rate, were irrelevant. Why? Because from the peak in April, deaths had decreased by 90 percent and were continuing to crash. That was not terrifying enough so the media pretended this good news did not exist.

With massive increases in testing, the “case” numbers climbed. This is not rocket science: the more people you test the more “cases” you discover."

Let’s go back to the original measurements used to scare Americans into giving up their Constitutional liberties: the daily death numbers. Even though we know hospitals have falsely attributed countless deaths to “Covid-19” that were deaths WITH instead of FROM the virus, we are seeing actual deaths steadily declining over the past month and a half. Declining deaths are not a great way to push the “second wave” propaganda, so the media and politicians have moved the goal posts and decided that only “cases” are important. It’s another big lie.

Resist propaganda and defend your liberty. That is the only way we’ll get through this.

    All true!

My metric would be hospitalizations. That's what all the fuss has been about, right - "not overwhelming the system?" And even those have never from day one been at a threatening level. This whole thing has been one big hype job...

Evidence of the virus from testing means almost nothing, the tests are quite bad.
But when there is a hospital case, that is evidence of serious, dangerous symptoms that needs proper attention.

Heard yesterday in Texas from medical persons the ICU is not filled with this "virus" patients it is actually persons who had so much fear to go to the hospital they put their life in danger with other illness.

And....the numbers are going up because they are doing more testing, more testing is showing persons with the antibodies for this virus does not mean they had it but they are also being counted and adding to the numbers. CDC is not telling this as they should.

Agreed. For months it was all about "we need more testing" and now that we have more testing they wail about the number of cases going up? The hysteria is triggering my gag reflex almost constantly. But of course, "never let a crisis go to waste..."

Sometimes I am really glad we moved to Oklahoma. An article yesterday concerning our Governor, Kevin Stitt:

"Although Stitt encouraged Oklahomans to wear a mask, he reinforced from previous news conferences and statements that he will not consider placing a mask mandate on Oklahoma. We believe in freedoms. I will not mandate masks in the state of Oklahoma,” he said."

Thank goodness someone has a tiny bit of common sense (he still wears one and thinks it's a good idea, but will not mandate). God bless the man (when you hear that coming from an atheist, you KNOW I'm grateful).

And in the meantime I was a little nervous this morning when I went to Walmart....a lot of customers were wearing masks...only a few, including me, were not. As I was self-checking out, the attendant approached me, and I greeted her, expecting an offering of a mask or perhaps even a mild chastisement. She was pleasant, but looked a little concerned. "Ma'am, did you know you have your shirt on inside out?"

I give up. Some days it just doesn't pay to go out.

Washington State now mandates the mask. We understand that 90% of masks are actually ineffective. It is social engineering and virtue signaling. In any case, I decided to wear my huge organic acid gas respirator. Whether it "works" or not is immaterial (to me) -- I just look the part. Plus, to carry it further, I decked out my climbing helmet with tin foil -- so I also wear my tin foil hat and wrap around sunglasses. Just having a little fun in the time of The Great Global Pandemic.

You'd just as well have some fun with it. For myself, I think I'll buy some tulle or fishnet stocking material...completely see-through, completely permeable, to wear when we head down to Texas soon! They DO have a mandate; shame on the Governor.

make sure you put in a straw hole so you can drink through a straw without removing the mask. Also, a small zipper so you can eat while still wearing the mask...

It was a scam from the beginning to keep Trump from parading across the nation with huge campaign events

Not to mention wrecking Trump's record-breaking economic advances. H
But how else can a corrupt senile old fool beat Trump and give us radical a ladder-climbing vice-president out to completely destroy our Republic?
Me dino can well imagine a panic-stricken Chicken Little running around in circles as he screams, "A SECOND WAVE IS COMING! A SECOND WAVE IS COMING! NOW THERE'S NEWS OF A PIG VIRUS ON TOP OF THAT!"

Good to see this view from a politician.

Anders Tegnell, Sweden’s virus expert stands firm. Sweden's policy on CCP19 is close to everywhere else but without the police and jail and fines threat, relying on argument advice and cooperation. This is what the new left are really against.

The world went crazy’ with lockdowns, blasts WHO for totally misinterpreting the data,
points to deaths, hospital and and ICU admissions all falling. 'cases' are up only due to more testing

What is crazy, to me, is the number of my supposedly scientific and smart friends that just keep rolling with the MSM narrative. When I offer counter evidence to illustrate that Covid is a Scam, they tell me that I must be Pro-Trump. I reply "false dichotomy" and do what I can to offer objective and mathematical measures to illustrate that C19 Is as much a Scam as Climate Change -- these are systems of belief that are, for many folks, not to be questioned. Glad to find some like-minded skeptics and objective thinkers here in The Gulch.

Agreed 110%. It is herd immunity. It is now at the point where those least at risk of dying are picking up the disease. If I were their age I would be more worried about STD's than Covid. I wonder what condom sales are in the affected States?

Covid deaths are way up while the regular flu death counts are non existent. Must be that the China flu cures all the other flu strains, RIGHT?
The elderly and those with highly compromised immune systems have always died from the flu but now it is simply Covid-19 and the MSM doing all the killing

Unless there is a vaccine soon, we are all getting COVID. We were probably always all getting it. The ONLY thing we did with all the restrictions was to keep hospitals from being overloaded.

    That is over.

I don't care one bit. I wouldn't trade one single stupid mask-wearing event, much less the massive toll on our economy, our conveniences and freedoms, for rolling my dice.

Unfortunately the media and many in Government have now seen a clear new knob to control us by: fear.

Now we have fear like this for control. We also have new basic unarguable truths, CO2 (or whatever I say) controls the climate and environment; we are all racists, and the only reason black people are weaker economically is racism; Capitalism is bad. Organized religion, dying of its own failed dogma, has been replaced by a new dogma of the left, implemented by media priests. To deny it, to assert the Earth rotates about the sun, is to invite loathing, ostracization and even attack.

People need a cause. The cause needn't be right, but it must make them feel better about themselves for believing in it.

I thought a "second wave" required that the virus has mutated from that which caused the first wave.

I think that we are still in the after effects from "flattening the curve" of the first wave. Flatten the curve only stretched out the time line of the problem, but doesnt reduce the number of people who will eventually be affected. In 2018, the second wave happened to be much more virulent mutation of the first virus and caused much more death. The succeeding mutations are usually less virulent then the first, but for some reason in 1918, only the second wave was more virulant. The third and fourth waves were far less virulent.

You are correct. It's a fake job...they are desperate! Driven by the media and championed by the left.
A view of the more recent #s according to the CDC is a Hodge pod jumbled up mess: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/co...
And this little gem from the NCHS: For 7% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.5 additional conditions or causes per death.

Then check out all the info the Swiss have gathered: https://www.galtsgulchonline.com/post...

    So again...YES it's a fake job.

That agrees with the NYC data that showed that only 0.7% of deaths reported to have COVID had no other underlying medical condition.
99.3% had other conditions that made them vulnerable and more likely to death from illness.

At this point in the Pandemic, there is only one statistic that has any comparative power. Deaths from Covid per Total Population. Never seen anywhere and easy to calculate.

      1. Hospitals are getting paid more than double the payments for COVID patients compared to other diseases. That will skew the reporting and increase the COVID death rate.
      2. If a patient who had lung cancer and maybe 3 months to live contracted COVID and died, did he die of cancer or of COVID?
My educated guess is that the statistics are including him as a COVID death.
In my opinion, he shouldn't be counted as a COVID death.

The statistics are rigged to increase the COVID death count - to increase fear and dependency.

I read one article that proposed that the total number of deaths should be compared to the total "normal" number of deaths from other non-pandemic years in the same months.
The assumption is that that would give an estimate of the change in deaths occurring as a result of the pandemic for the period.

Let’s say 500,000 people die of the Covid virus in the US. Divide that by 350,000,000 (my guess at the US population.). That comes to .143. Less than two tenths of one percent. I don’t think we have the bubonic plague here.
