T Santa Monica police-drovers herded the peaceful demonstraters around last week completely the swarm of active lootere destroying property as they stole from and laid waste to the businesses in the promenade and other commercial areas like a plague of locusts--with impunity! Not one cop in sight! So now i'm wondering if SCOTUS slipped one past us and declared that looting is speech under the First Amendment in the same way that have declared money to be?

No, the state of CA and the city of LA made gun ownership so difficult that business owners can't defend themselves. Police are told by local and state politicians not to step in because then those "public servant" politicians might have to take the risk of actually doing the job they were elected to do. Instead the productive part of their constituents lose their businesses. They are unimportant to politicians and have no voice in government because they haven't paid the necessary bribes to election campaigns.
It's called corruption and it will eventually lead to armed uprising. Then the federal looters will apply military force to kill off the remaining productive parts of society and Atlas will shrug.

if it is, then the guards at the banks and the tellers at the bank windows best not infringe or hinder on my expression. Imagine being a judge and listening to a lawyer explaining how her client's (theif) rights where infringed because the bank elected to keep its money.

It's like living in bizarro world.

It’s not speech but opportunity. And unfortunately shows us just how easy our civilized society can crumble under weak authorities -police being told to stand down or spread too thin

    Short answer~~It's looters looting.
Less shorter answer~~It's destroying jobs and the businesses of innocent employers left behind sometimes crying real tears.

Given the eagerness to declare shoplifting a right, and the "decriminalizing" of theft of property worth less than $1,000, we are fast approaching the "Purge" scenario. Take away the cops, and it's everyone for themselves. The only trouble is that this Purge won't be just for a night, but unending.

Unfortunately, when those who can't handle the new "woke" society that not only unleashes, but endorses criminality as justified against white supremacy decide to leave their Utopian states, they infect the states that still believe in individual rights, and stupidly elect politicians who want to destroy the society in their new residence the same way their previous rulers did. Maybe it's time for interstate passports?

Short answer: no. Protected speech respects the notion of property rights: the right of a person to think for himself/herself and seek those of like mind. One can not simultaneously respect the property of the mind while ignoring physical property.

In my state a gang is an organized group of three or more people. I believe that a 'mob' should be defined as an (organized or unorganized) group of three or more people intent on injury or damage. I believe that a person should be allowed, without legal repercussions or the possibility of lawsuit by the attackers, to use whatever weapons are available and whatever force is necessary, to protect himself, his family and associates, and his property from mob attack. This needs to be a Federal law.

We are well into the spreading movement to abandon individual rights, especially property rights. Private property is condemned along with double-standard racism, therefore looting it is considered redistributive justice. And therefore having police to protect people's property from vandals and raging mobs is, uh, white supremacy and, uh, fascism. Abolish the police!
