COVID-19 Demographics - What Are They? Are They Available Publicly?

I have been looking for months for detailed demographic data on COVID-19.
Without such information no one can rationally decide if economic shut down is a valid response to the virus. For example, if the virus has a high fatality rate among working age people that might indicate a justification for economic shutdown.
If that is not the case - if the fatality rate for working age people without pre-existing conditions is very low - then shutdown of businesses is hard to justify as a valid action.

These statistics ARE being compiled in the medical records. But they are NOT being made public.

The only data I have found online is shown in the attached graphic from New York City as of May 13, 2020.
(See https://www.worldometers.info/coronav... )

My observations:
It displays that of the 15,230 deaths reported as having COVID at the time of death,
(1) only 0.7% of those deaths were in people that had no underlying medical conditions.
(2) 73.6% of those who had COVID at the time of death were over 65 years of age. This age group makes up 6.6% of the US work force (about 10.4 million workers.)
(3) 48.7% of all those who died who had COVID at the time of death were over 75 years old. That is about 1.1% of the US work force (about 1.9 million workers.)
For workforce demographics see: https://dqydj.com/workforce-by-age-ca...

If you can find more complete data, please post it.
Only with accurate data can we make rational decisions.

Accurate data of the range you suggest is not available. There is no conspiracy, it is just the way data is collected by a variety of people with a wide range of skills, instructions, resources and interests.

Two of my favorite sites do quote reasonably reliable data sources, on CCP19 as well as the carbon scare,
    - wattsupwiththat.com/
    - joannenova.com.au/
but if wide ranging it is of limited extent, if consistent and reliable then of limited relevance.
The worldometers site has the usual weaknesses.

Now, I need to be 'a wet rag' again, the price of age and wisdom (hmm hmm),
Situations with a need for important decisions, which include to do nothing, are seldom accompanied with complete data. This does not mean that rationality cannot be used, but it harder than if full information were available. That only happens in school text books.
