It came as the governor of Minnesota claimed protests over the death of George Floyd had been hijacked by extremists, domestic terrorists and possibly even foreign forces.
"The situation in Minneapolis is no longer in any way about the murder of George Floyd," said Tim Walz, "it is about attacking civil society, instilling fear, and disrupting our great cities."

Not sure if these comments are jokes, but-

Maybe me dino should rethink that. At the prison I used to work at, it got around that a state trooper refused to enter because he was required to either leave his pistol in his car or give it to the officer at the front gate.
You do not wear a pistol inside a prison. It's too easy for inmates to jump you and take it. Taking a baton just isn't worth the reprisal.
