Your article prompted me to Google my name again. I do this periodically just to see what new information might be out there on me. This time I clicked on "images", and scrolling down I found several, even one I took of my battalion chopper a long time ago. Clicking deeper into each of these images that I found information and photos I hardly even remembered. I was mostly connected to the 4/14 Artillery (1967), and the 1/83 Artillery in Vietnam (68-69). The links in the photos took me to our battalion website, and connected me to old friends and relatives I've since forgotten about. It's scary how much information is out there, my biggest concern was my obituary, but it turned out it wasn't mine.

Your post rang a bell with me- two years ago I had my eyes examined and got both retinas examined and photographed. I'm certain one may be uniquely identified by a retinal scan. Also when I entered the service many years ago, I was fingerprinted.

I went to HHS site and looked up HIPAA regs about access to personal health info regarding Covid testing; first responders are allowed access to personal health info when dealing with patients. There was a stipulation that stated HIPAA info can be released if there a Law stating such. I dealt with HIPAA regs when I was an Administrative Assistant/ Medical Records Tech, so I couldn't even imagine that such flexibility was allowed. So, states could legislate Laws into existence for such purposes so Big Brother got you!
