Campus closings mean less indoctrination

The left-wing propaganda machine has lost one of its key platforms.

Here's another take:

I especially like this from the comments section:

"Imagine the savings:
1. No facilities maintenance
2. No utility bills
3. No need to fund sports departments
4. A diverse global faculty with no visa issues :).
5. A diverse global student body with no visa issues :).
6. No need for diversity and other useless committees
7. No need for funding social club activities."

👍 Note that all the colleges in the top ten for getting bail out funds are in Democrat counties. $14 Billion wasted and the looters want another $46 billion. Go get your own funding from alumni - if the alumni can afford it after making college loan payments of their own. Otherwise just close your doors and stop brainwashing students to be socialist looters like you are.

It could be bigger than this immediate fiscal challenge.

People, workers and students are beginning to question the need for attending in person. Things will change after this, permanently.

In addition, all of my buddies with children nearing college age are questioning the cost of college, even liberal ones. This line of questioning is going to drive some change as people vote with their wallets.

The only hope colleges have of maintaining the status quo is...Government Force. Government funding to "support" education and keep the "unfair" online competition out of the market place.

Mr & Mrs Socialist: "We need education, and must support our struggling (fat over bloated, ridiculous) colleges. We must act now to keep these inadequate, uncertified, schools from preying on our countries children and hard working parents...."

certification being another application of government force.

I'll bet anyone here all the beer/wine/etc they can drink in an evening on how the Socialists (essentially 100% of democrats, and some large portion of republicans) act.

Could it be that those with jobs considered to be "Essential" might just be the better choice in the coming future? Just MO here but from my experience far too many new hires with college degrees seem to be educated idiots and I blame that on their advanced educators and universities.

Good luck with that. Now they can practice what they have learned, doing nothing.
I would also assume that college professors are salaried, does this mean they get paid anyway?

Maybe for a while. But if I were a professor, especially one without tenure, I would be dusting off my resume and maybe learning a new skill.

What is not being discussed is the basic fact that many if not most educators who are not actively teaching in classrooms are still being paid either full or partial salaries for doing nothing. Many are union employees and protected whether they work or not.
I am very happy that they might not be pushing their socialism indoctrinations down the children's throats at the present time but would prefer they not be paid while not actively doing their jobs.

Finally, the emperor has no clothes scenario....the idea that a college education is necessary and prudent for advancement of a career is being rejected by the younger generation...now, maybe these Liberal/Marxist/Alinskyite indoctrination centers will fall by the wayside in the aftermath...

Campus closings, societies closing is reinforcement of the indoctrination that has been educated into young minds for decades. The hint of concern from historical liars (man, politicians) validated by tax dollar funded institution dependent soon the same liars has had people complicit to their own shackling despite their own sense and self-interest. Mama bird is seeing if her hatchlings can fly, nothing more, nothing less. Look for a repeat in the near future (12 months) and see how readily and smoothly the second test goes.

Sorry, the word, "temporary," just had to go and jump into me old dino's head followed by the phrase, "just a temporary fix" as I thought about it a tad further.
During this current covid the interim, scrubbing seats of so-called learning, podiums for puffed-up putrid pontifications and entire wannabe commie classrooms with assorted antiseptics and
sanitizers would only work on far less dangerous diseases caused by any virus.
