Actual Death Toll Far Less Than Reported or Expected
The numbers are probably 4 times higher than actual reality!?!?!?
"The CDC states that the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD) has created two new codes to be used for death: one for coronavirus and another for one assumed but not diagnosed COVID-19 cases. But because lab “tests results are not typically reported on death certificates,” this second code won’t really be used."
***"Instead, “the rules for coding and selection of the underlying cause of death are expected to result in COVID-19 being the underlying cause more often than not. COVID-19 should be reported on the death certificate for all decedents where the disease caused or is assumed to have caused or contributed to death.” They even say that “other chronic conditions such as COPD or asthma that may have also contributed” should be listed in “Part II” but not as the primary cause."
"So if someone comes in for anything remotely similar to the flu, which claims between 24,000 and 63,000 a year in America, and that person dies, COVID-19 can be listed as the cause of death."

"As of April 14, 2020, CDC case counts and death counts include both confirmed and probable cases and deaths"
They also note:
"In accordance with new CDC guidelines:
New York: the numbers shown below include probable deaths (and, consequently, probable cases for the same number) as reported by New York City
Maryland: includes probable deaths, as reported by the Department of Health (Section: "COVID-19 Statistics in Maryland")
Wyoming: includes probable cases, as reported by the Department of Health
Most state reports and dashboards (such as Texas, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Missouri, etc.) lag behind or show incomplete data with respect to the data shown by individual counties on their official websites and dashboards, which is what we collecte and aggregate when possible to show the most updated and accurate number in the table below. We will soon publish state-level pages with graphs and the breakdown by county."
I keep imagining a scene with the "corpse" sitting up and saying, "Wait! Just because I'm probable doesn't mean it's time to do an autopsy!"
"Looks like the "fact checkers" are a bit confused. Just what is "partly false" - the initial hyped numbers or the corrected numbers after the oops is uncovered? I don't recall anyone from the CDC clearly stating their initial numbers were likely bogus because of a "reporting lag". Was policy driven from knowingly bogus numbers? If so, why?"
Edit add: I happen to notice one has to actually click on the comment button for my comment to even show up. Also, when a FB "fact checker" greys out a post it will fall very low on any news feed, meaning few if any will even see it. The article you put up, FFA, is a factual article being deliberately ghosted by FB.
I think there is a dichotomy between the States as well...some honest other not...Thinking the Eastern half of the US being ruled by politics and MSM showing higher numbers for the most part, whereas say, calif, politics inspite of it's lower numbers.
Example: CA 50K cases/2K deaths versus NY 303K cases/28K deaths...even CT: 28Kcases/2+K deaths.
There!...the article said it for me...nuff said.
