I bet that many regular influenza deaths, and other deaths as well, are being labeled as Covid19. Until we have a proven denominator, the only statistic that has any comparative power is deaths/total population for a given area.

But China DID NOT WELD people into their homes with the first SARS outbreak.

So, it was CLEAR to me (99%) that this came from a BSL4 lab, and was UNKNOWN what it would do. Even right now, it looks like you can get it a second time, and like Dengue Fever, it could be LETHAL the second time. Scary Stuff.
Imagine a vaccine! (BTW, the SARS Feline Vaccine had this very problem).

Yes, we "over-reacted", but it WAS WARRANTED (IMHO). Because of the Exponential Growth, and the Shear number of people tying up ventilators, only to have 2/3rds of them die when they come off, in 2 weeks. (ARDS usually kills 1/3rd when they come off, and typically because they've lost the musculature to breathe on their own!)

Then there are the MULTI-FACETED reports of this virus having DIFFERENT symptoms. Italian Doctor Reports 2 types of ARDS, in ONE type, Ventilators work, in the other, it makes it worse! (Type M and H or something like that). It was a published OPINION not research.

And I am ALWAYS suspect when HCQ gets downplayed (despite Didier showing ~92% effectiveness at 2 weeks), but the 60% effective DAILY IV Drug ($1,000 / dose) is being touted with amazing safety. WTF? HCQ has been around.

Next Problem. I am hearing about doctors studying JUST HCQ (No Zinc, and No Z-Pack). This reminds me of BOTH the bad science in testing Vitamin C (5x reduction in the "insane" dosage Pauling used, to REFUTE Paulings findings, but still showed reduction in days with Cold symptoms... LOL Buried and Hid! As well as Burzynski Cancer Treatment, where they used an EXPIRED version of his drug, and WATERED it down (NCI), he had to threaten to sue them to stop... Turns out a previous Buzynski patient got into the study, and recognized the "smell" of the medicine, but the color was WAY LIGHTER. He took a batch to Dr. B to test, and that REALLY set him off!). These are examples of:
- Designing a "TEST" to fail to downplay the results.

After having seen it so many times, you learn to look for it.

Again, it's NOT the flu. It IS NOVEL. And WE STILL need to get back to work!

This makes sense in terms of what I see out there. Like with regular flu, many people just are exposed to it, but fight it off successfully immediately with antiboies, or fight it off with little symptoms. We only get to see the ones that dont fight it off and wind up in the hospital, go on a ventilator, or die. I dont believe the numbers from the CDC as to the death rate. They have a vested interest in making things worse than they are

I went looking for seasonal flu death numbers for this flu season, was surprised to see that as of March 2020 the death count was only in the 20,000 range and the season is almost over.
They say it's usually around 60,000.
