I do like the April 1st remark, though.
Properly, money is a store of wealth. Where does the wealth come from? Traditionally agriculture, mining, and manufacturing. Most of the rest of the activities available to us involve protecting the wealth, using it up, or figuring out how to use it to make more wealth. Or squandering it.
What happens if we stop creating wealth? Didn't someone write a book about that?
They are after more than money- police in Australia are complaining that some people are irresponsibly going for a drive, and have arrested a man for sitting on a park bench, alone, eating a taco.
