I am in the Pittsburgh area and I wrote to Cinemark Theaters to see if they would be showing AS3 Who is John Galt?. This is the response I received.
Thank you for your email. At this time, all we know is that the film is planned for a limited release on Sept 12th , this could mean 3 theatres or 100 theatres throughout the US. As is typical for most films, we won’t know more until the week of release, possibly the week prior to release.

Regards,

Cannon still here,Special Ops base now and Melrose bombing range now a training area. It was on BRAC but the bigwigs, both city and state worked and pleaded and got it to stay open. Now spending tons of money modernizing it and expanding as SWOPS are the new prize baby.

Know exactly where it is. Cannon AFB is (or at least, was) there. I don't know any more as I haven't kept up with the BRACs lately. My ex went to nursing school in Clovis while I was stationed at Holloman.

NM, but down a little from Clayton, Clovis is where I am. Follow 60 down from Amarillo and 84 up from Lubbock. I am 6 miles from the junction, where 70 cuts south out of Clovis.

You in TX or NM? That stretch from Clayton to Raton is sure pretty. In summer. Wouldn't give two bits during the winter.

Actually, for being the cloned liberal state of mind that Wa is, you have several theaters. I noticed a lot are in reach of the military bases up there, wonder if there is a connection...

Yep, that's Washington, all right. At least we have some decent theaters, though I don't know when or if AS3 will be showing there.
Seemed like a no-brainer to me, but then, so did that gubernatorial election that went terribly wrong.

And this is coming from someone who had to purchase two of the Rearden metal bracelets... just in case something happens to one of them!

I'd gladly pay $500 for a pre- released version for mine and my husband's own private viewing only. And I would take the oath upon my life that's all it would be used for.

Yes, indeed. Except the state to the North is Dope smoking Washington, the 2nd worse case for voter fraud in the US (behind Illinois I think), and California to the south. We are indeed deserving of the name "Left Coast". But excellent response!

Yes, where we have the most ineffective, useless, trough eating government you can find. Our govenor was elected by 2 counties, and the rest of the state went for the other guy (who was not a better choice though). This time we have a decent Republican Dennis Richardson, running, who at least understands the money is not theirs to spend as they wish. But not one theater?? Disgusting...

They probably do have a political axe to grind. Also, the first 2 AS flopped at the box office.

Sounds like a pretty cool trip. I hope a theater closer to you picks it up...unless you rather they didn't.

Hope that changes Susanne. The response from Cinemark was disappointing. I was hoping they would have a better idea by now how many of their theaters would show it. The one I went to see AS2 in was bought by Cinemark. I hope they don't have a political axe to grind but I know they didn't show Dinesh D'Souzas America.

It sounds like they don't know yet which theaters will ultimately have it. I hope by asking it helps them realize their are a number of us looking forward to seeing it.

The closest theater showing ASP3 where I live is 365 miles away. Yes, I will be attending. I get a nice mini vacation and I'm taking some friends with me.

Limited release? I don't get it. After all the planning,
filming, editing, etc. just a limited release? AS I and II showed in two theatres in the Clovis - Fresno Area. I'll have to check them out.
