I don't like being right. But, my research was leading me to the conclusion this points to. Transmission is not as initially reported...

I think since this virus was created in China, we should put the blame where it belongs. They are trying to corrupt our economic standards. There is no Pandemic! We should quarantine China.

There is another theory in that the original virus was stolen from an American lab then further modified in the Wouhan facility to make it even more dangerous. Though unconfirmed, it fits the known data.

are sure that the virus was "created" rather than just being a naturally occurring virus? It appears to be an animal virus. Do you believe that the Chinese would infect their country with something worse than dealing economically with Trump?

I heard a recent report that the Chinese killed 50 million of their own in the 20th century. Didn't verify. But, even if it's 90% inflated...Yes. I do think they'd do that.

YES. The Chinese regime facing. Mass protests for months, has Killied 60 million plus of its own citizens. They are
Over crowded and faced another Tianeman Square. It is the party they care about and protect not their citizens.

"Mass protests for months, has Killied (sic.) 60 million plus of its own citizens."

That is something that even the UN could not cover up. 60 million on top of the 11 million a year of their usual death rate would not escape the MSM for long during those months.

Boy we are in trouble. The msm brainwashing is successful . First to allude to the UN as anything other than the enemy of the Host country its governing body(sic)resides in , and suggesting it has some value.
2nd suggesting the MSM would report the truth of anything is preposterous. Fake news is putting it mildly.
I answered your Question “ would the Chinese govt .....?
            My answer was. Yes.
If you want to dispute my answer . Give it a try .
I have done your homework for you here.
Ignorance is dangerous . I wrote the Chinese regime was facing Massive protests for months, and has killed 60 million plus of its own citizens.

Nov 20, 1994 · The blinding indifference was in the name of Chairman Mao Tse-tung and the Communist Party. ... It is now believed that as many as 60 million to 80 million people may have died because of ...
It is probably fair to say, then, that Mao was responsible for about 1.5 million deaths during the Cultural Revolution, another million for the other campaigns, and between 35 million and 45 million for the Great Leap Famine. Taking a middle number for the famine, 40 million, that’s about 42.5 million deaths.
Take your pick, this all happened in the first 5 yrs of this regime. I said 60,000,000 +(plus) The real number is certainly plus.

I was not questioning the 60 million or more deaths over the last decades, which I have known about for many decades. I was questioning the meaning of your: "The Chinese regime facing.(sic on the period) Mass protests for months, has Killied (sic) 60 million plus of its own citizens." making it appear that the deaths are due to those protests. I include the (sic) to show that I did not copy wrong. I don't see a reason for the (sic) in: "Host country its governing body(sic)resides in ..." which is perfectly good English.

Speaking as a now-retired rebel physician (see my uploads at https://www.youtube.com/user/brightwr..., I recall similar hoopla regarding HIV (debunked; see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqJq2..., H1N1 (less drastic than represented), Ebola (same), and others. There are no readily available data showing the death statistics of previously healthy coronavirus patients; if the virus was truly dangerous then there would be. Same old playwright script; new actors. Practice your throwing skill and grab a bushelful or two of rotten vegetables.

You make a great point about previously healthy patients. The news media is REALLY doing a disservice on this, as they always do. They like to report that somebody is killed, but don't like to report that the person was obese, diabetic and a 3-pack a day smoker. They've done this for years. Even here locally I've seen cases that were clearly reported with such omissions.

It's like when they report that somebody was robbed by "a man"....haha....

The genetic evidence indicates that the transmission path was originally from bats to pangolins to humans.

The salient factor in the spread of Covid-19 is that 80% of the people who get it are non-symptomatic. The bad thing about this is that we do not know what portion of the virulence is due to the patient's genes vs the virus' strain. The good thing is that if the virulence is related to the strain of the Covid-19 and NOT to the patient's genes, then catching the virus from a non-symptomatic carrier means that you have caught a less virulent strain and therefor there is less of a chance that it will do significant harm.

Since Covid-19 is an RNA virus, it mutates rapidly and there is no guarantee of immunity any given strain if the strain you caught was genetically different. There will probably be cross-reacting immunity of some degree...this is on of the things we don't know yet.

Since the virus is transmissible both before the symptoms are evidenced in the symptomatic- now cases and - now probably - by the non-symptomatic carriers, it is spreading through the population and it will eventually be present on a friend, co-worker, or cashier near you.

Although the covid-19 virus may not cause a huge worldwide pandemic this winter/spring, it is my understanding that this fall, when the new flu season hits, coronavirus will be spread all over the world and the outbreak could be horrific. I am also reading that healthy people who catch it usually get over it with no problem, unless they catch it again. The mortality rate goes up to nearly 30% on the recurrence. Has anyone else seen or heard this information?

News reports detailing the case raised the possibility that people may not be developing immunity to the new coronavirus, even after they’ve recovered. But several infectious disease specialists say there’s not enough data to support that conclusion. Another possibility is that the virus subsided and flared up again. (Some viruses tend to do that.) Or the test was simply wrong.

“The question is really: How good is the proof?” says Donald Burke, an international health expert at the University of Pittsburgh. “And we’re a long way away from anything solid. What we need is the sequence of the virus.”

I have heard this info too - but not from a good source, so it is one more thing to add to the 'hearsay' pile of info.

One of the factors that could make a huge difference is if we find an effective antiviral. Many are currently being tried, but I have not heard anyone shout, "Bingo!"
