Looking for the Gulch on Google Earth

I was doing some fishing camping research on Google Earth and decided to type in "Galt's Gulch". It's interesting to see that there are a few spots in the database with that name. So surprise that I've been to one: Sequim, Washington. Love that place!

Then, I remembered something. I took my kids on a little road trip last Summer. Just me and them while mama was out of town. On our travels I stopped at a remote side and marveled at the view we had of a very beautiful valley that made me think of Galt's Gulch. The air is so clear on the back of the Sierra that we could see a cabin clear as day at the edge of the forest about 4 miles south of us. I'll only tell you where it is, but keep it between us. Find Heenan Lake and see where a dirt road leaves Hwy 89 4 miles east of Heenan as the crow flies. That dirt road heads south into the gulch. I also had the kids do a short hike with me at Heenan. That's a lahontan trout broodstock lake and an amazing place. Lots of bear scat and cougar tracks all around us - made their eyes big...haha!

Should add that in looking at real estate I stumbled upon a spot that really reminded me of the description of the Gulch. It's along the west slope of Washoe Valley, just north of Carson City, NV. So beautiful there...

There’s a canyon on the west slope of the Big Horn mountains in Wyoming, called Hole in the Wall. Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid hid out in. There’s only one way in. It’d be a perfect Gulch. I grew up in the mountains there and we all knew about Butch and Sundance.

Heenan Lake is South of Lake Tahoe, my skiing destination.

It'll be easy to flow down on 89 and hit the lake.

Beautiful scenery, It'd be wonderful to live nearby.

“Heenan Lake Wildlife Area consists of approximately 1,700 acres at an elevation of 7,000 - 8,000 feet. Heenan Lake is located on the west central portion of the area and covers 130 acres. Vegetation consists of Jeffrey pine forest adjacent to sagebrush ridges, and meadows adjacent to stream courses. Wildlife species that occur in the meadows and adjacent ridges include belding ground squirrels, Clark's nutcrackers, black bear, coyotes, white-headed woodpeckers, golden eagles, and bald eagles.”

My kind of place to get out and chill out. I could just sit there in a chair and read all day...let alone try to land one of those cutthroats.

I was hiking in the snow near there (Markleeeville) years ago. I was just following these footprints in the snow over a hill towards Indian Creek Reservoir. After a few minutes I decided to take a close look at the tracks...only to realize they were cat tracks. Big ones. Haha...My buddy and I looked at each other with big eyes and decided to head back from where we started...

Mine fantasy Gulch is here: https://www.google.com/maps/@65.88879...
It starts as a "free-trade zone" by the Danish gov't, marketed as a way to bring jobs to indigenous populations. VCs fund startups there with the idea you can get founders from many countries without jumping through as many immigration hoops. In practice, mostly young people go there, and in that remote environment a few them create some amazing technologies. Some of them stay and start families. It's a constant struggle for them to stay independent, low-tax, and not wrongly accused of being a tax-fraud haven or a hub for guns, drugs, prostitution, etc.

I imagine those little houses all being replaced with buildings and a bit crypto currency monument that you can see when flying in, like the dollar sign in AS.
