Though they don't say it in the article, I know the company that patented the sensors in use and even a few of the employees because they originated in my hometown.

    A little farther East (and North), but still in the West. If you know what has come to be called the second Silicon Valley, you'll have me pegged.

    Are you from San Luis Obispo? I've been there visiting Gateworks, which makes CPU boards for wireless applications.
