I recieved it as a birthday present, and I would like to know how you recieved the book, or if you found it on a book store and you just bought it or if someone mentioned about it.
I bought the 35th Anniversary edition at Barnes & Noble...along with George Orwell's "1984". Both are superb books if you want to know what The Left has in store if they have complete control.
I initially read the book in high school during my senior year for a book report. Needless to say, I did not really grasp its message. I bought a hard copy last year from a bookstore on the internet, and read it again, this time comprehending its content and message more thoroughly.
I heard AS mentioned here and there over the years, one day I researched it and then ordered it and then DEVOURED it. So I guess you could say, it is where my journey in life led me. Unfortunately, and to my great disappointment, getting others to read it is quite a task. :( But it is the best book I've ever read...and I've read some great books! :) By the way Mellis...your name reminds me of another one of my favorite books... Do you know which one??? :) Welcome to the Gulch!!!
Mellis, every now and again people in here will post that question. Such a profound book is often given as a gift. I think it's essential to my well being to expose people to Objectivism and AS is a great place to start. welcome to the Gulch!
